This book was amazing! I’m a big fan of some big name authors who write nothing but suspense, mysteries and so on. I’d classify Anne K. Albert as the next one to watch out for. It’s been a while since I had the privilege of reading a book that doesn’t make it easy to guess the ending. Well in Defending Glory, the characters came to life throughout the pages and kept me guessing right to the end. Not only does Anne have a talent to spin a great mystery that keeps you on the edge of your s [...]

Monica’s Review Defending Glory by Anne K. Albert is an interesting book, something I would not usually read but this book seemed interesting in a way that religion had some pull in this story. The other point that drew me to read this book was that it had to do with human trafficking. This is something that not every many people can believe can be happening in their surroundings. This is something that I am naïve in because to me how can a person treat other people so carelessly? They are hu [...]

Defending glory is a clean romantic suspense with a touch of faith added. The author did a good job of sprinkling in information to reveal the story and keep you hooked. As the book opens, you're not exactly sure why Glory wants to open the retreat on the property she inherited. Even though she comes from money she seems very relatable and likable. Just as you’re getting to know the characters; the dead body shows up to bring in the mystery element. Mac is a disabled former FBI agent turned ge [...]

Hiring Mac, a disabled former FBI agent, now contractor, seems to be the best thing that could happen for her and they hit it off right from the beginning…until they find a dead body tied up to her dock. The mystery begins as all kinds of setbacks happ [...]

The reader will not be bored with this novel. The author has the unique ability to make everything come alive for the reader. This is a mystery that will have the reader on the edge of his/her seat. The main characters are both very interesting and will capture and hold the readers' attention. Human trafficking is not a typical topic for a novel, making this novel even more interesting for the reader; the topic is discussed with an obvious knowledge on the author's part of human trafficking. Thi [...]

*I really liked this book. It was a nice easy quick mystery/love story. It was kinda long but didn't seem long when you were reading it, it went quickly. Nice character development and nice scene setting! I could picture being there. This is the first book in the series "Piedmont Island Trilogy". I am looking forward to reading more!

My mother handed me this book to read, and I admit I was not expecting to like it. I was pleasantly surprised! Very good, entertaining writing. I actually felt like it was a little predictable at parts, but I still wanted to keep reading it despite being tired.
