It was intriguing to find how much success this duo had while aware that they are often overlooked and forgotten. I was very surprised at how closely they worked with the Beach Boys as a band as well as their individual members. The book focused heavily on their plethora of recordings. I was also surprised at how strong a comeback Jan made. The book itself lacks final editing and is noteworthy for its copious use of exclamation points and quotation marks, often unnecessarily.
