You’re reading an instant classic! This is the comic book issue #3 of the event “Batman: White Knight”, which it will be a miniseries of 8 issues.Creative Team:Writer & Illustrator: Sean MurphyColorist: Matt HollingsworthLetterer: Todd KleinYOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THISHe’s a riotThis quote is referring to The Joker, but……it could as well about Sean Murphy, the author (writer & illustrator) of this Holy great, Batman! miniseries, since Murphy is generating a LOT of glorious no [...]

Sean Murphy may have painted Gotham with a believable "what if" scenario that challenges our heroification of the Batman, but White Knight, particularly issue three feels that the story and setting has slightly been stretched longer that it should have been.Ultimately, issue #3's final rating will rely on the payoff that the readers hope to experience in the succeeding chapters. Murphy plants subplot seeds here and there like a crazy storytelling farmer. I am a bit wary that these subplots might [...]

This series has me interested so far! I also like how the writer clearly didn't like Movie Harley and ditched her for the classic animated series Harley in a pretty clever way!

I'm starting to get what's going on now. It's an alternate timeline, or reality, whateverof the DC universe. There are little things that are changed here and there. Sort of like The Dark Knight Returns is an alternate Batman universe. There's a lot of that in DC, it's hard for me to keep up. This isn't the best Batman story I've ever read, but it's still good. I'll keep reading. I love Sean Murphy's art.

This is a very interesting, well written, well drawn & compelling Batman story. If you like Batman, then you should be reading this, or at the very least don't miss it when it comes out in TPB. I get the feeling Sean Murphy has put a lot into this, every word & every panel seems very polished & well thought out. I'm lovin' this!

  • Marisa Carpico

Excellent. Excited to see where this all leads.

  • Brandon St Mark

I love how this has interpreted the Batman Mythos. Jason coming before Dick is a little odd, but I like how it’s changed the relationships in the Batfamily. This is such a cool title.

Batman: White Knight #3 by Sean Gordon Murphy cements the simple fact that this may be the best Batman story going right now. Definitely the best Joker story happening right now! "He's a liar. Taking too many of those pills. Damn drug addict. Destroying the Joker legacy. And she's enabling him. Anything for her desperate romance. She's just another prison. Holding him back, thinking he won't break loose. But the Joker's more than just a man. He's a riot"Hell hath come to Gotham and the Joker's i [...]

This is such a fantastic title. Murphy's understanding of character paints a brutally honest portrait of the type of man who dresses as a bat, scares criminals and adopts children into his war on crime. Was a little thrown for a moment by Jason coming before Dick, but I love how it has not just intensified the Bat-Man but also his relationship with his most famous ward. Can Sean Murphy be given an extension on this run? Say 100 200 more issues?!

  • Brennan

This comic series is blurring the line between Batman and The Joker more so than any Batman media today, and a plus is Sean Murphy is also packing in references to all Batman media at the same time, to Batman The Animated Series to Batman '66 in the same panel! Freaking love it!

  • Catherine Doherty

Amazing series showing what should actually happen in Gotham.

  • John

As the story unfolds things get more and more interesting.Seeing the Joker painted as the hero and Batman as the pariah is a very unique twist.

  • Lindsey

It’s going places I dunno if I like, but I’ll continue the storyline and hope it clears up. I liked the premise enough

  • Max's Comic Reviews and Lists

The continuation of Murphy’s amazing Batman series. This was the issue where shit went BAD for Batman. I understand why Bruce Wayne is feeling as uneasy as he is but boy is he a dick in this story. Dick Grayson and Barbra Gordon share pretty top notch scenes together and Jack Napier, Harley Quinn, Duke, all meeting each other was also interesting. I do wish we could have seen what the hell happened to Mr. Freeze. A lot of cool scenes for sure but not much made me have a nerd-gasm (maybe except [...]
