Kindle freebie romance time again! And hey, it's still a freebie as of the date I'm writing this review. This is a cute, bubbly contemporary romance about Presley Benson, a cute, bubbly high school drama teacher who unexpectedly (she thought a proposal was imminent) gets dumped, right at the start of the book, by the guy she's head over heels in love with, Jackson Montgomery. He basically tells her he can't mess around any more, and has to get serious about life for career reasons--Jackson's jus [...]

4.5This was a fun addition to the Jennifer Peel collection. I knew from the title and cover that I had to read this one, ASAP. Like always, as soon as I picked it up I was immediately sucked in and glued to the pages. I stayed up way past my bedtime and had to force myself to put it down so I could get some sleep. To say Presley Benson is heartbroken when her perfect boyfriend unexpectedly dumps her would be an understatement. She was positive he was "the one" and had already mapped out their fu [...]

This has a fantastic setup and a great beginning, but it crashes hard in the later chapters.I really, really loved Presley. And that didn't change, so that's to the book's benefit. She's witty and strong and kind and loving and I love her inner dialogue (even if the "writing to Bingley" journal thing got old fast). I particularly liked how firm she was about Jackson's idiocy. He kept thinking they'd be friends and she kept him focused on why his choices precluded that outcome. You could see that [...]

Oh my goodness. This book! How does Jennifer Peel do it? I mean, SERIOUSLY?! Every. Single. Time. I pick up a new book by Jennifer and I'm in love all over again. It never fails. I'm really in love with this one though. How to Get Over Your Ex in Ninety Days is deliciously amusing and it made me happy!Presley got dumped by her perfect boyfriend. It came out of nowhere and she can hardly believe it. Her best friend helps to formulate a plan for recovery and in 90 days she will be over Jackson. We [...]

Talk about being pulled in different directions! Presley is head-over-heels in love with Jackson, but he blindsides her when she is unceremoniously dumped. It's brutal, and she takes it hard. The first person perspective lends itself well to all the angst that ensues. Fortunately, the witty humor keeps it from being depressing, and the plan gives Presley a goal to stick to as she struggles with the aftermath of a once-in-a-lifetime relationship. Her close girlfriend lends support as well as her [...]

Presley is so in love with Jackson and thinks he's about to propose when he blindsides her by breaking up with her to concentrate on getting his Doctorate. He says he can have any "distractions" and "we can still be friends, right?"!! Is he kidding me? To make matters worse he's been promoted to Assistant Principal at the school where she's the drama teacher. Can you saw AWKWARD?! Presley sobs to her best friend, Capri, who just happened to find an article online "How to get over your ex in nine [...]

All of a sudden he breaks up with her, calling her a distraction, and saying that he was just messing around. With the help of her best friend, Presley decides to follow the advice from an online article about how to get over her ex. Presley Benson and Jackson Montgomery were meant to be together forever. They even had a "ship name" - PB & J. Presley was sure that Jackson Montgomery was “The One” – until he broke up with her. Now Presley and her best friend Capri, have a ninety day plan for her to completely get over Jackson! 3.5 StarsHOW TO GET OVER YOUR EX IN NINETY DAYS was a cute, humorous, and fun romance. It's an interesting twist on the boy-trying-to-get-his-girl-back after he stupidly broke up with her trope. Readers of chick-lit, sweet rom-coms, and sweet romance may enjoy this one.I loved the humor that started this story off. Or, maybe sarcasm is a better word for it. The story jumps right in to Presley's bliss over her boyfriend, which quickly turns to heartbreak. Her best friend then picks up the pieces [...]

A Fantastic Story!!This amazing author has done it again! I loved this story, so much that I may have stayed up WAY too late to read it. The protagonist, Presley, is witty, relatable, and full of spunk. I loved reading her thoughts and the clever way she wrote in her journal. Let's not also forget Jackson- wow were there a lot of swoon-worthy moments!!! I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading it again!

I was super excited about this book and I was not disappointed. I loved PB and thought she was tough, sweet and talented. I didn't love Jackson however like I thought I would. I didn't like how he broke up with her and then I really didn't like how he said that he was going to win her back and then pretty much dropped off. I am not a horrible person. I understand his Dad was sick, I just didn't like how he handled most of it. He however was a great guy, just kind of acted like an idiotr a whileO [...]

Because I love this author and have thoroughly enjoyed her other works, as well as her overall writing style, I'm giving this one a gift of three stars even though I have some serious problems with the story. The concept for the story is a great one and I jumped in enthusiastically. The break-up was so well done that I had a hard time not tearing up! Presley's pain and devastation was palpable and it wasn't long until I was cheering her 90 day plan on whole-heartedly. The story started falling a [...]

Classic Jennifer Peel. Great laugh-out-loud moments and of course in-need-of-tissue moments. Can't wait for the next Jennifer Peel novel.

I really need to keep this Authors books towards the top of my list because I love every single one of them. This one brought back a lot of memories for me of when my hubby and I broke up before we were engaged and then married. I loved the characters and the humor you can't help but fall in love with it all. We have all had difficult times in our relationship and this book nails all the emotions you go through perfectly. Presley reminds me a l lot of me. I have always been spunky and love to sp [...]

Presley thinks she has her life all figured out and then is dumped by her longtime boyfriend. She finds a list of what to do to get over your ex and does her best to execute that list. The trouble is that one of the things on the list is to avoid him and she can't do that since she's a drama teacher at the high school her ex just became the principal at.Clean and fun, with just a pinch of revengeful and spite to add some spice and drama.

  • Sara Cardon

This is cute. A simple conversation could have solved so much angst. Presley is funny. She and Jackson work at the same high school, which makes it tough as she's trying to distance herself after he breaks up with her. And she's reliving every wonderful moment they had the previous year as different events come around.

I devoured this cute, witty romance. Presley and Jackson are the perfect couple and she believes they are only days away from a proposal of marriage. So when Jackson blindsides her with a breakup instead, she is crushed and doesn’t know how she’ll ever recover. Her friend has her read an online article about how to get over your ex in 3 months, and Presley begins her journey to get over the love of her life. Sweet surprises and funny situations keep popping up that made me laugh and cry, and [...]

This was my 2nd book to read from Ms. Peel and this has also been on my TBR list for a long time. So it was not a surprise when I devoured Presley and Jackson's story in just a matter of 2 days. Yes, this book is one of those that you will have to set aside life for a little while so you can get lost in their story. Presley Benson is a high school drama teacher that has found her prince charming. Everything was going great between her and her boyfriend Jackson Montgomery. However, a sudden break [...]

I feel like I just conquered a tall mountain peak after reading this story! The journey was long and hard, but that ending was soooo worth it!Presley is madly in love with Jackson and thinks the feeling is mutualuntil he dumps her. How in the world can you get over someone when you work with him and see him every single day? Her best friend reads an online article and hatches a plan that will free Presley from her love in 90 days.I love how this story is written in first person. I think all of t [...]

How to Get Over Your Ex in Ninety Days is the type of book you want to throw against a wall. It's insulting to woman, mainly because of how the heroine's ex-boyfriend treats her, which doesn't make sense based on why he broke up with her. Presley, our heroine has been hurt horribly by ex-boyfriend Jackson. Presley thinks Jackson will ask her to marry him because they are the perfect couple. But boy, is she wrong. He decides to break up with her because he needs to concentrate on his new position [...]

Presley Benson is ready to join her friends in wedded bliss. She is eager to get her proposal, instead gets a break-up. Thanks to her friend Capri's obsession with internet articles, they come up with a plan to get Presley over Jackson in ninety days. The plan calls for total deprivation of the person you are trying to get over. The hic-up in the plan is Jackson is the vice principal for the school Presley works for. Another wrench in the plan is Jackson wants her back.In an Oyster Shell - A cut [...]

2.5 STARSI liked the premise of the book, and the beginning, but it became clear that Presley wasn't going to move on to someone new and I was disappointed. Jackson breaks up with Presley (for the lamest of reasons) and he's a pretty big jerk about it, so I was ready for her to find someone new and start fresh. But even though Jackson ended it, he kept popping up everywhere. "Can't we still be friends?" "Do you really hate me that much?" "You look beautiful today." Ugh. He became a total stalker [...]

So this is a really cute book, it starts with a young teacher being told by the love of her life, that she is a distraction, she is completely devastated and turns to her best friend for help. Her friend tells her of a 90 day plan to get over your Ex, Presley is happy to try anything to get rid of the pain, the only problem is, she has to see her Ex everyday as he is also her boss. This book is super cute with many real life feelings and the characters are truly believable, I thought this book w [...]
