Final rating: 6/5 starsRokka no Yuusha (Braves of the six flowers) is, without a doubt, one of my favorite series ever. There is no official translation yet, although English translations by fans can be found, and they are well done and fantastic. So far, four out of five books, that are currently out, have been translated. It has been liscenced by Yen Press and they did amazing job. My copies have just arrived! :DI couldn't help myself, so I will write a review for this, in order for this serie [...]

Six heroes have chosen to defeat the big bad, but now, there are seven of them. Obviously one is an imposter. But how to sniff him/her out.

After having watched the anime, I decided to pick this one up to support one of the few mystery LN novels out there. I think this is the kind of book you maybe should avoid a plot synopsis / back of book summary for. I'd recommend skipping the prologue and starting with Chapter 1 as well as the prologue does the whole "in-media-res" thing where they show you a scene that happens later in the narrative and clue you in on the problem of the mystery. The story reads well, with lots of dramatic twist [...]

Translated light novels are a mixed bag. Some have concepts so bafflingly awful you worry for the future of humanity. Sometimes their stories are good but the translation is so stilted and emotionless it saps any joy you may have received from the book. Rokka though strikes a good balance. It's a solid fantasy story with a unique twist on the age old heroes of prophecy story, and while the writing won't win any awards, it was perfectly readable. I'd recommend this to anyone who desires a nice qu [...]

The description of the book on completely misses the point. Think of this book as a locked-room mystery. There are 7 people locked in an area where there should be only 6, and one is clearly a traitor. The characters are quite interesting, the writing is pretty good and what's better, all clues are there for you to solve the mystery yourself!!! I had about 50% of it nailed down! Although there have been 6 books published already, this one can be read as an independent book and it's still really [...]

Won from A decent small read I enjoyed it's about 6 persons picked to stop the evil God as it awakens from its long sleep. If not stopped puts the world into hell but this time there is not six but seven who is an imposter and will they be found out and stopped in time .

4.5 starsIt was so fun and entertaining. I didn't know who the seventh was until it was revealed. Hoping to read the next novel soon.

I'm going to say it.I think Rokka might just be my favourite light novel and manga series. Seriously. I love the mystery element to this, and how it keeps me guessing the entire time! I seriously spent so much time trying to put all the clues together and work out who the fake was, but I genuinely couldn't work it out! I ended up being so surprised, and I hadn't worked out how it all went together either! The light novel version of Rokka carries on past the manga and it wraps the mystery all up [...]

I read the English translation of the first 4 volumes of "Rokka no Yuusha" found on the NanoDesu website. Sometimes things that were a bit unreal happened in the story, but it was an entertaining and out-of-box type of fantasy series. Readers should know, though, that while there is some action in this series, it's more oriented towards solving bizarre mysteries than towards action.
