Another Munsch classic that Neo thoroughly enjoyed. When Madison finds a free face painting ticket for the local fair, she rushes over, but is unsure what she wants. When her turn arrives, she finally decides on a single rose that looks “really real”. So, after a slow and meticulous process, she gets one. As she heads out with her father, she notices the rose multiplying, but he does not believe her. The same for her mother, who ships her off to see an equally flummoxed doctor. By the time G [...]

It's been a few years since I have read any Robert Munsch books. My daughter picked this as a book to read together and I was pleasantly surprised. It is a great story that had us laughing out loud together as we read it a few times through. The story was fun and the artwork wonderful. It is the story of a young girl who wants a perfect rose painted on her face. In fact it is so perfect she soon has two roses, then three, then over 40. It is way too much. Join in the adventure as they try to fig [...]

Munsch does it again with this book about face painting gone wild. Kids adore face-painting and Munsch takes the idea of the perfect face-painting one step further. One of my favourite bits is the illustration of the line of kids waiting to get their face painted. How many times did I wait in line with my child, and the line felt a 100 miles long, as in this picture. As always, Martchenko also fills the pages with all kinds of tiny but interesting images - the treet with a face, the squirrels an [...]

The story “Look at Me!” is about a young girl named Madison who found a free ticket to get free faces painted. Madison got a perfect small rose painted on her faces but the rose keep growing and growing. When reading this book it keeps you wanting to find out how many roses will grow on Madison. The font is nice, big, and clear to find, which is not too busy to read. This is good book for being readers to read. The pictures in the story are very detailed and bright. You could do a art projec [...]

This is a cute story of Madison who finds a ticket to get her face painted at the park. All she wants is one little rose on her cheek that looks real. What she gets is a lot more then she bargained for. I really like Madison’s wit and problem solving skills. :0) I did find it really sad that none of the adults seemed to be listening to what Madison was trying to tell them. This is a fun story with bright entertaining pictures by Michael Martchenko.

A magical rose grows all over poor Madison's body but her parents won't pay any attention to her! A cute story about how important it is that parents listen to their kids, but also that creative thinking is important to solving problems! Great illustrations and a wonderful book!
