    I loved this novella. A very moving story about ending violence against women, especially in South Africa where it has been epidemic. Cries of the Forgotten mixes many things into one. Part of it is a journey of spiritual growth of the protagonist, Tshepo Nonyane. In another way it's a murder mystery and also a ghost story.     I loved this! I don't usually cry while reading, but once I read the last page, I was left sobbing the happiest of tears. Tshepo's character is so.n. He experiences so much pain, physically and emotionally, through his suppressed ability to speak to, see, and hear the spirits of the dead.
