I was given this book an exchange for an honest review. Spoiler Ahead This was a good book and I love reading about "Bad Boy" sports stars. Alexis goes to Barcelona writing for a food column, when her true love is sport. Sneaking in to get an interview with the hot ripped sports superstar Leonardo Cruz when things take an unexpected turn for t [...]

Leo is the bad boy soccer player and Alex is the sports writer. This quick read is funny, and hot. It starts off with Alex finding her fiancée having sex with her bridesmaid in a toilet. Of course, she does what every self respecting bride would do in that situation, she runs. Leo is straightforward, he definitely has no filter, but that adds to the character and it was fun to read. There were times where I wondered how anyone put up with him, but then when you read the sex scenes, you’ll und [...]

The first chapter almost made me shed tears of despair and laughter too I admitt WHAT a disgusting incipit, if you can muster the guts to continue after that you're braver than I am D.Slater & N.Lane you are not authors I would ever call talented #theEnd I cannot believe they needed two writers to pen such an awful prologue

First I must say I had a hard time opening this book to read it because I didn't want to take my eyes off that gorgeous man meat on the cover. Totally drool-worthy! But I did read it, and I loved it! In a nutshell, the hero is Leo, (Leonardo), who is the one of the best soccer players in the world and THE best in Spain. He goes by the nickname Leo the Lion of Spain, and has that giant lion tattoo on his chest. He's a cocky manwhore with the equipment to match. Our heroine, Alex (Alexis), is a sp [...]

This is a book that will knock your mind into overdrive wondering how Leo can say what he does and not constantly get slapped across the face for it Leo has no filter on his mouth. He says what what is thinking. He is what the media has dubbed The lion of Spain on the soccer field field. He just happens to carry that title with him off the field as well until he meets one reporter that wasn't one that really followed the rules. She had plans and she was going to follow them she just never though [...]

*** Received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review ***This is the first time reading a novel by this author but not the last and I'm looking to read more. This story has is an interesting, captivating love story full of outstanding humor ( ex: Megan sassiest comeback and the old lady regarding the weather and prunes:) I pulled an all-nighter to read as I could not put it down, eager to know which way I would be taken next. This is the unusual story of Alexis wa [...]

Received this complimentary Arc copy from the author for an honest review.Oh Alexis, what a to do. After finding your now ex fiancé Robert cheating with your bridesmaid on your wedding day. You need to re focus. Good job you have a decent friend in Megan and a job that needs developing. A scoop would help, in the form of Leonardo Cruz. The Lion of Spain, favourite soccer player. Now that would be an interview not to forget. Oh boy, does it become memorable.A story about Leo's and Alexis relatio [...]

Wow Leo has big balls, what a cocky arrogant bad boy, I loved him right off the bat. I also really enjoyed the character of Megan what an awesome friend to move to a foreign country with her best friend. Then you have Alexis a beautiful strong independant women. Ditched at the alter she and her best friend move to Barcelona. As a reporter her duties are to review Tapas Restaurants, but she decides she wants to move up so goes to get an interview with the famous soccer player Cruz. Wow do things [...]

****received an ARC for a honest review****Looking for a hot soccer player with no filter, this is the one for you. The things that come out of Leo's mouth are shocking, straightforward, and a bit crazy. Alexis is not one to hold back once she gets around Leo.The crazy meeting between the two. I was just as embarrassed for Alexis. This was a whirlwind romance. Leo being a womanizer and Alexis, a girl needing to let go.Even the secondary characters had me laughing. Megan was a riot!! I would love [...]

This is the second book by Danielle Slater that I have read. I'm giving it 3.5 stars. I love how the story started out. The whole jilted bride, on her wedding day. The second half of the book fell short for me though. I found it to be really predictable. I did enjoy the story, but I didn't feel the connection, past the sex, between Leo and Alexis. Their first meeting was funny and did have me laughing. I think my favorite characters were Megan and Josh. I loved Megan's comebacks and the things t [...]

  • Becky Rendon

My family are Spanish League soccer followers so I was extremely giddy when I realized where this book was taking place. Then throw in Camp Nou like you're say MCDONALD'S and well I was panting. That aside, it a fun book. I enjoyed the story line (though there are currently several very similar ones that released recently). I think my biggest bummer ( I don't want to say disappointment) was that it followed an obvious formula for the other books and didn't vary much.If I had read this ARC before [...]

PLAGIARIZED! I'm not sure if the authors--Nora Lane and Danielle Slater--thought they wouldn't be found outbut this book is a blatant copy of Bad Boy's Baby by Sosie Frost with only the smallest of changes made to the story. They took the book, scene by scene, and shamelessly presented it as their own.And they must have realized they did something wrong--Danielle Slater's name is off of the book, though they weren't quick enough on the cover change. Sorry ladies. If you do something shady, you'r [...]

  • Debbie "Buried in Her TBR Pile"

Cute - the hero is cocky and has a dirty mouth all the time. It became a little annoying. I skimmed the sex scenes - too many and too much mention of H's size. H had some growth and the h deserved a HEA after catching her ex-fiancé with a bridesmaid in a toilet stall (some graphic details of caught in the act) on the day of their wedding. At least h confronted the ex right then and there. The ex subsequently creates problems and drama when h becomes involved with H - the ex tries to ruin H's ca [...]

Balls: a Bad Boy Sports is book 1 on Danielle Salter's new series. It was a pleasant short read involving Alex, a sports writer, Leo, Spain's bad boy of soccer and Robert, her cheating ex-fiancee who she had fled from just before their wedding after she discovered ho, having sex with her bridesmaid in a toilet! It was a quick light read with some amusing scenes ; Alex and Leo shared some wonderful lusty moments and everything was wrapped up neatly. A good way to pass a couple of hours. .

  • Demiana

sooo this book was ok e reason it doesn't go higher than that is because it has many, and i mean MANY, similarities with another book I read around the same time -Bad Boy's Babyby Sosie Frost -It would be easier ,and faster,to list the things that were different rather than the things that were the same.I wrote the review here and not on the other book's page because this book was published last.Still it gets the 2 stars mainly because I like this story line and not for anything else.

  • Amanda Studebaker

This story took me by surprise. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard, especially so quickly after starting a book. This was a really good, sexy, and funny book with a hidden depth to it. Parts of the book were surprising, and for a book junkie it is hard to surprise me. I really enjoyed all of the banter, sexy times and the more serious elements of this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

  • Darlene Richardson

This book blew my mind. I bought it because it was about a soccer player and soccer always reminded me of my brother and the book was $.99. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, the book was awesome, the authors had so many unexpected twists in the story that left me wanted more. Five awesome stars.

  • Teresa Anderson

Great read 5 starsIt was a great read bad boy soccer star and reporter who accidentally touched him where she should have at their first introduction but lots and lots of sex later and a fake relationship they proved to be quite the couple great read looking for more maybe with Magen and Leo brothers possibly

  • Wanda

NEW AUTHORS TO MEI just found this book and completely enjoyed it. I loved Leo and can't wait to read the stories about his brothers, Dante - THE BOSS and Gio in BRAVE. This book was well written and there was an ending for each character, which I really appreciate. I hate hanging questions. I am glad I found you, I will be reading other books, especially The Cruz brothers.

  • Cheri Snuggs

Loved Leo and AlexGreat Read. Leo the star soccer player with a bad boy reputation. Till he met Alex. Robert what a douche bag, I really hated him. Can't wait to read about the other Cruz brothers, hope to read more about Leo and Alex.

  • Julie Hairapetian

The Lion of SpainLeo is a cocky soccer star with a hidden heart of gold. Alex was just spared a disastrous marriage and moves to Spain. She tries to jump start her journalism career by getting an exclusive interview with Leo. Alex got a whole lot more than her interview.

  • Danielle from Short and Sassy

was good . ending was boring . I didn't like how she blamed him for their situation like he told her to go into a locker room unannounced.
