Clean, fast-paced cozy. It takes place in an abandoned amusement park that's in bad shape and appears to be a hiding place for BigFoot. The lead, female character is there helping a friend do repairs and renovations. A dead body is discovered in the woods on park grounds, and Gabby sets out to piece together all the when's, who's, and why's of all the mysterious occurrences. There's deception every where Gabby looks, and the answers may take you by surprise. There is a developing romance between [...]

THRILL SQUEAKER is the 11th book in Ms. Barritt's popular series Squeaky Clean Mysteries. While the relationship between Gabby and Riley move along and changes, each book is stand alone on the mysteries, and this spooky, scary book is a great one to jump in at. Summer vacation and theme parks are at the top of a lot of family's vacation lists. This particular park has been closed down due to three unexplained murders--one of them by Big Foot who supposedly lives in the woods there. When Gabby an [...]

I found the first half of the book to be rather boring. There was mostly a lot of fixing the property, Gabby mooning about Riley, and not a lot of action. About half way through something happened which caused both Gabby and Riley to almost lose their lives and that's when things started to get interesting. I guess I also just didn't like the setting. The characters were hired to restore an old, broken down amusement park. The story ended well but as usual with this series I found things about it [...]

This one felt like it dragged in too many places. I love Gabby’s inner commentary, and she was pretty funny in this one too but also lots of drama worrying about Riley. I don’t know, it just got old. 🤷‍♀️ Still going on to the next one though!

This time, Gabby is in the mountains of West Virginia, helping her friend Chad restore a deserted theme park, so he can earn some money to support his wife and newborn. Thrill RideChristy Barritt is a prolific writer with a great sense of humor. I've enjoyed reading her Squeaky Clean Series. Her ideas are always fresh and mysteries never get old. This one involves Nate, a college friend of Chad's, who is trying to reopen an abandoned theme park called Mythical Falls. There are cabins for visitors to rent that need to be overhauled and brought up to code, land that needs to be cleared and landscaped and rides to be demolished or brought up to code so they can be [...]

Do you believe in Big foot? How do you feel about fun houses or abandoned amusement parks? This book lets you explore these things in the safety of your own place. It is another great edition to the Squeaky Clean series. This time Gabby has travelled to an old abandoned amusement park to help out Chad who has been hired to help fix it up. In typical Gabby fashion she finds a dead body on her first day. She just can't go anywhere without stumbling into a mystery. Gabby feels pulled into so many d [...]

Christy Barritt has produced yet another wonderful thrill ride with Gabby, Riley, and the gang. This time, Chad has agreed to help a friend resurrect a defunct theme park. Gabby, Riley, andClarice come to help. At every turn, odd and dangerous things happenybe the only things to be resurrected are murders like one of 20 years ago and the Sasquatch legend. Wow! Can Gabby's life get any more exciting? She goes to work to help a friend and finds a dead body the first day!Her life has been full of twists and turns. She's had MANY times of near death and it seems that this time isn't any different. Now add to that she's also trying to figure out what her future will be with Riley her sort of boyfriend?/fiance?/husband? Gabby & Co. are in for a deadly thrillCould this be the book Squeaky Clean Mystery fans have long been waiting for? Will Gabby and Riley finally work their issues out? OK, so I really can't tell you, it would ruin half the fun of reading Thrill Squeaker. Christy Barritt has kept us guessing and hoping and I certainly won't spoil it now. At first, I wasn't sure how much my cup of tea this book would be. I mean, Bigfoot? I live in one of the areas in the US that Bigfoot is rumored to haunt so [...]

Having read majority of Christy Barritt's mysteries, I always wander what she is going to do to surprise me with her mysteries. For Thrill Squeaker, I was impressed with the mystery surrounding the abandoned carnival. It wasn't a typical carnival. There were different legend areas such as Area 51 and the Bermuda Triangle. From the first chapter where Gabby describes the emptiness and overrun appearance of the theme park, I was drawn into the story. I finished this book in one evening. Once I sta [...]

I have been anxiously awaiting the newest installment of The Squeaky Clean Series, mainly to see what Gabby and Riley are up to after the way the previous book (Dust and Obey) ended. I must admit, although I love all things Gabby, and very much enjoy everything Christy Barritt writes, I got a little lost with the number of characters being introduced. I did enjoy the quirky humor of Gabby as she thought of some of them though (like the brothers she dubbed Happy, Sleepy, Grumpy, etc.). I also mis [...]

The squeaky clean series never disappoints. They are edge of your seat thrillers. This one is just as awesome as all the others. It is like a episode of Scooby Doo full of mystery and bigfoot and even a MURDER! I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. My favorite lines from the book set the stage for it perfectly…. “I sighed. Life could be like a rollercoaster and, at the moment, I really preferred a quiet train ride through the countryside. I longed for it. I was fighting despe [...]

After her last trip away, Gabby is ready for a routine job and this turns out to be anything but. When her old partner Chad ask for help cleaning up an old abandoned amusement park, Gabby sees it as a fun way to earn a little money, help out a friend, and work in a few training sessions for her new job as well. She didn't realize that she soon would be putting a few of the techniques and gadgets she trains with to the test. While there, the crew realizes that there is more to the amusement park [...]

Trouble and Mystery seem to find Gabby St. Claire even if she doesn't go looking for it. This is book is no different with that. But wait! It has so many emotional roller coasters the Squeaky Clean gang don't even even know which way to turn at times. This read is packed with thrills, mystery, chills, adventure, God's forgiveness and grace and yes romance from our favorite couple Riley and Gabby! Will they catch the killer, or is there more than one? If so, is it Big Foot, or is that all a myth? [...]

Man, I love the characters in this series. Especially Gabby St. Clair. She's quirky, funny, loves a good mystery but is also so human. Her fear of the future, of the possibility of the good things being taken away from her is so.n. This one had me guessing who was behind the crimes until the end with the list of possible local suspects. All of them seemed to have secrets. And the ending of this bookoh, just what I've been waiting for!!!Can't wait to read Gabby's next adventure. Well done, Christ [...]

Here's another delightful addition to the Squeaky Clean lineup. You'll have as much fun as a barrel of monkeys while guessing whodunit: good luck with that, by the way. All of the character faves from previous books make at least a cameo and a new cast joins the crew to refurbish a very scary and dilapidated amusement park with a twist, of course. Christy Barritt continues to write well-developed characters with such reality you'll believe they live next door. Gabby is always a fan favorite with [...]

Love this entire series. I have fallen in love with these characters! I love that they are human and make mistakes but they learn from their mistakes. I have loved seeing Gabby grow in her faith.Thrill Sqeaker was very clever. It was not obvious who the killer was but it was also not too far fetched. A perfect mixture. If you like a decent, cute mystery with a good dose of comedy and romance then this is it!

I kept getting distracted by other things while I was reading this, so it took me awhile to get through. But I enjoyed how it kept me guessing. One minute I was sure who the bad guy was, then the next minute something else happened to make me change my mind. The author keeps things on the lighter side by adding humor amongst the suspense. I was happy for Gabby's change of heart near the end of the story. The loose ends were neatly tied up and Gabby got to have a happy ending.3.5 stars

Ahhh.lly!!What a great series!!!! Loved it from the beginning. Gabby is my kind of heroine. If your a fan you will love this one too. And if this is your first, stop right now and start with book one.

  • Priscilla

Loved this book! Great setting with fun characters. Light fast paced read. I will be coming back for more.

  • Sharon Thrasher

Very nicely donee.I So love the characters in this book. Even Nate. Lots of suspense, love, milder and thrills. I am so glad for the happy ending.

  • Cary

I'm still liking the mysteries but this was the first one where the personal issues seemed to be kind of bogging things down a bit!

  • Laura Cook

Glad Gabby and Riley get their act together. I read the Riley Novella before reading this one.
