Two people are in well over their heads. Rina wants to have a little fun before settling for…I mean, settling down with her intended husband. Tony wants to help a familiy member infiltrate a terrorist group while at the same time extricate a childhood friend from that same organization. Neither of them is prepared for the depths of trouble this is going to get them in, nor how being in hot water together is going to lead them to fall in love.I really enjoyed this story. The exotic locations, t [...]

My So-Called Review I love a great suspense novel but lately I’ve been feeling the need to change it up a bit. This past year I’ve primarily read psychological thrillers and I love them but I’m also starting to get burned out a bit, it happens. So I’ve been on the lookout for mysteries and thrillers that focus less on the psychological and offer something new I’ve not read before. When I came upon the opportunity to participate in Normandie Fischer’s blog tour for Two from Isaac’s [...]

ByCarol Boyeron December 2, 2015Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseNormandie has written a brilliant novel, one that is so current with todays world of terrorism, a novel unlike her others, filled with romance, espionage, suspense, and faith in God. From the moment she first saw Tony, on a train to Perugia, Rina's heart fluttered as Tony helped lift her suitcase; she was taken with the twinkle in his blue eyes and his height, since she herself was 5'10". Although engaged to Jason, there was [...]

"Amazing how much one could hear, as if the silence weren't silent at all". Rina, an 5' 10" young American woman, has lived in shadows her entire life. Her miserly father controlled her life and forced her to live a life in penury and her manipulative fiance Jason will soon take over.  Her life is without passion. When her father dies leaving her unexpectedly financially independent, she is off to Italy to discover the world before she settles down to marry Jason. However, Perugia has more in [...]

Normandie Fischer’s latest story does not disappoint. Reading her writing is just like enjoying a good visit with a friend. I enjoyed Rina’s voice, so much like the author’s, and I loved following the story of the characters. One of the strengths of the book is that Acie and Adam (strong supporting characters) are introduced early on. In fact, I would have like to see the character of Adam developed a bit more. As always, Fischer’s descriptions and settings are great! I recently read a b [...]

Am I the only one who didn't love this book? The reviews on and are very good so keep that in mind. Here's what I like about the book, Rina and Tony. They are a good couple. Here's what I didn't like, the spy stuff. Tony is not seemingly sophisticated enough to be infiltrating the terrorist training camp for Israel. This just didn't work for me. Take that out and let Rina and Tony solve some other murders in Italy and this would be a cute Romantic Suspense. There is also a lot of dialogue. A. [...]

Deception, Middle East conflict, spies and romance what else could you ask for. The book is well written with great character development. I could not put this book down. I have read other books by this author and you can not go wrong with her books. I was fortunate enough to receive a copy of this book for this honest review. Many thanks to Normandie.

Two from Isacc’s House is written by Normandie Fischer. This is an extremely suspenseful story about a young lady from Morehead Citiy, NC who finds out that her father had been acting like they were poor her entire life and right after his death she is granted a marvelous stash of money. Rina goes for a trip of a lifetime and just when she thought all she had was a boring life…Excitement surrounds her…she suddenly no longer has the boring life, but is in the midst of murders, murderers, te [...]

If you asked me how to classify this book in a library, I’m not sure where I would place it. Two From Isaac’s House reads like Southern fiction but is very much a novel of international intrigue. You will want to curl up with it and absorb the delicious way the writing lilts across the page, but at the same time Fischer’s command of international suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. And then there’s the new romance and the new friendships – sweet in a way that wraps you in [...]

Rina Lynne's father insisted they had to live on limited funds, but she inherited a fortune when he died. But a passenger on the train is murdered, and the man she shared a carriage with looks like a terrorist.Favourite line, from when she spots the man's gun. Can't you feel this? She tried to sm [...]

Two From Isaac's House by Normandie Fischer, a romantic suspense novel, is a whirlwind of a read; sophisticated, worldly, and intriguing. Rina is from North Carolina, and has never ventured far from home, but when she inherits a windfall after her father's death, she heads to Italy for an adventure before settling down with her fiance', Jason. Rina ends up with a lot more adventure than she anticipated, beginning with her train ride into Perugia, in the hills of Italy. On the train she encounter [...]

Two From Isaac's House is a romantic suspense that has a little something for everyone. The story involves Rina and Tony. Rina is taking a vacation in Europe. One last adventure before she gets married. Tony is working as a spy for his cousin. When the two meet, there is an attraction, but Tony doesn't know how to keep danger from finding Rina. For the most part, I liked the book. What I liked most was the characters. I loved Rina and her conviction to see some of the world before she settled dow [...]

What an interesting read! Two From Issac's House by author, Normandie Fischer, is a romantic suspense. Rina has never traveled far from home so when she inherits her father's secret stash, she's ready to kick up her heels and go adventuring before she settles down to marry her long-time fiancé. First stop, the hills of Italy to the Jordanian desert and from there to an Israel on the brink of war with Hamas. Tony who is known as Anton, is Arab-American and an engineering geek conned into helping [...]

  • Robin Patchen

I wasn't sure what I'd think about this book, because Normandie Fischer's others are more women's fiction, and this is romantic suspense. Fischer proves with "Two from Isaac's House" the range of writing she's capable of. Not only does the suspense capture the reader right away, but the writer's unique voice shines through. I love the sweet southern girl's naïveté. I love the hero's self-effacing attitude. When they get caught up in events much bigger than the quaint Italian town where they me [...]

I had previously reviewed Normandie Fischer's novel, "Heavy Weather," and just fell in love with this sassy Southern lady's writing style! So I was excited to review her latest book, "Two From Isaac's House." And she did not disappoint! Part romance, part mystery, and all fast-paced, this novel is a fabulously spun tale that will reel in the reader and keep them hooked to the very spine-tingling end. I loved the cast of characters - all were complex and fully developed; the setting is fascinatin [...]

I purchased this book on my Kindle app to read on vacation. I'm glad that I had the time to give it my full attention because it's a really good story. The engrossing characters star in a contemporary novel that documents a historical struggle. The author seems as comfortable with the plot which revolves around tension in the Middle East as she does writing the dialect for two Southern women who coincidentally meet in Italy and become BFFs. The central dramatic elements of innocence, intrigue, a [...]

Normandie has proved, once again, that she can spin a tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat in her newest book, Two from Isaac's House. Exceptis is not necessarily a tale. This could be and probably has been real life for some of the characters caught in this riveting saga of romance, danger, espionage, lies, faithfulness and Truth. I can't wait to catch up with everyone as their story continues.

  • Ann

What a story! This is a suspense with spies and terrorists that could be taken from today's headlines. I was pulled into the story line and the the lives of the characters from the first pages and didn't want to put it down because I didn't want to miss what could possibly happen next. It is a wonderful combination of suspense, romance, action and faith that I definitely recommend. I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

  • Linda Rainey

This was an exciting romantic suspense novel.I was intrigued with cosmopolitan characters and settings for the novel taking us from the US to Italy,,Jordan,Israel and Paris. We discover how The Lord leads these two characters and how as Jews they accept the Messiah. This my second book by this author and I look forward to many moreI was honored to review this book and I'm giving my honest review.

  • Nita

I listened to this on audible. At first it seemed that the book was just being read, so I was a bit disappointed but not for long as the narrator soon found the right voice! The suspense grabbed me and pulled me to the edge for most of the ride! And I loved the small window to look at the struggle of Israel and the matter of faith!

  • Robin

This is a wonderful story. It is woven together from many strands that are introduced throughout the story. I loved Rina's character as she stumbled trying to find herself. My heart ached for her and then felt uplifted by her discoveries. This is a very involved story but definitely worth reading. Highly recommend. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

  • Marla

I was really surprised with Two for Isaac’s House! It was a fun, fast-paced book that kept me fully engulfed into the world! This was my first book by Normandie Fischer, I haven’t researched this author so I’m unsure of how many books this author has written previously or if this is a debut… but holy beans man! The description is amazing. Seriously some of the BEST visual words I have ever listened to. Fischer makes it so you feel like you are in the story, completely immersed. I think m [...]

The basic story is of a woman who has decided to travel on her own when she comes into an inheritance. She meets a man that she is immediately drawn to. He's attracted to her also, but his life is a little complicated at the moment. He has been drawn into doing a little espionage for his cousin. There are people hunting him, which makes a romance a bit difficult to work in. When he disappears, she tightens her belt and heads off to dangerous countries to try to find him. Is he dead? If she does [...]

i received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour for a fair and honest review and rated it 4.5 out of 5 Stars.A young sheltered half-Jewish woman traveling overseas for the first time, and an Arab- American engineer talked into spying on a European terrorist cell by his cousin take center stage in Normandie Fischer’s Two From Isaac’s House. • Susan (The Book Bag)

I have read several of Normandie's books already and I have loved all of them. Two from Isaac's House is very different from the other stories of her's that I have read and I was a bit hesitant to try it. That whole 'Middle East, spy world adventure' is not something I usually read. But since I know for a fact that she is a wonderful storyteller, I knew I had to give this one a try. And I was not disappointed. This is a great story with wonderful characters and lots of action, and I loved it all. [...]

This was an free audiobook I won in a Facebook contest!Wow, it's not at all what I expected, but I did enjoy it very much! Soo much detail about overseas and their vacation!I don't usually read books like this! I mostly enjoy the sweet Christian romances set in the 1880s or so!This was really good and it pulled me in but with so much death and fear, it wasn't something I could listen to late at night and expect to sleep right after!I'm glad they both thought about the faith of their ancestors an [...]

  • Jennifer

I have to say this a very interesting story and it's very relevant to what's happening with terrorists in the world today. The author also has a cool name! This is the first book that I have listened to narrated by a man. Not bad. :)After the death of her father and needing a break from life Rena Lynn was determined to travel the world no matter what her fiancé thought. Things started going all wrong after realizing she'd heard a murder happen on the train she was traveling on to Prussia. Also [...]
