Zonzo is the second volume of Cornella’s comics work, after Mox Nox. Wordless, it strives on every page to offend and make you laugh in spite of yourself. Dark and absurd, there’s a stark contrast between the bright neon colors and the bloody violence, a page and six panels to every story/joke he tells. His twisted sense of humor just keeps twisting anew in almost surreal ways. I liked it pretty well, I get the point of his pushing the envelope, though for me he sometimes crosses the line. I [...]

Equal parts upsetting and hilarious. Definitely not for the feint (or faint) of heart. If you love Ivan Brunetti, you'll enjoy these wordless and weird comics. If you hate Ivan Brunetti, steer clear of this. Personally, I found it so bizarre that it was compelling.

Under 80 pages so to short to add to the all time book list.

  • Derek Royal

The highlight of Cornellà's work is its dark and off-beat tone. The comics in this book are a perfect example of this.

Like I said before, this is some f^(kd Up sh!+and yes I gave it 4 stars because I am sick in the head, lol, is depraved and twisted humor is so wrong and "politically incorrect" that it is often quite hilarious. As an added bonus it is also kinda surreal at times. And I can validate my Rating because though most all of the humor is shocking and wrong, it DOES lead one to questions (perhaps) like, "why did I find this twisted stuff so funny?"

  • Ran

Oh god, I can't unsee this graphic book.

  • Jody

I thought Cyanide & Happiness was dark & twisted and then I read this. Some of these are hilarious, others I didn't enjoy so much.

  • Carmen Ross

A very dark, perverse, violent, shocking and provocative collection of cartoon drawings, that are also funny.

  • Robin

Too gruesome of comics for my liking, yet the art was vibrant and energetic.

  • Laura (ローラ)

You're supposed to be offended. If you are a breathing human being, you will be offended. When you read this, you'll be disgusted in yourself when it makes you laugh. But, it's satire. Just keep telling yourself that.

  • Ian Hrabe

I haven't read anything this offensive since Ivan Brunetti's little HAW! collection or Johnny Ryan's Comic Book Holocaust. Cornella is a fantastic artist and some of these are really great, pure (and puerile) black humor. Most of them, however, are just fucked up for the sake of fuckedupness and leave you feeling a bit rotten, which I suppose is the point, but why? I'm sure these comics are coming from a place of satire, tongue firmly in cheek, but they're so goddamn mean spirited it's hard for [...]

This book is an irreverent and surreal dive into absurdity, fittingly packaged in comic book format. It's a quick read, although I found myself re-reading a lot of the comics a few times just to make sure I caught all the details. What I like most about Cornellà's style is his deft combination of black humor, solid illustration, and zero words. Does it still count as reading if you've technically only looked at comics the whole time? I'll let someone else be the judge of that I definitely recom [...]

There are some really dark, humorous, and clever comics here. Some hit better than others, and most are provocative. They remind me of the stand-up comedy of Anthony Jeselnik, with disturbing yet funny punchlines.

Eu adoro o Cornellà. Isso provavelmente caça a minha carteirinha de Ser Humano Decente.Eu adoro o Cornellà - e quanto mais nonsense e mais violento e mais escatológico, mais eu rio.Desculpa, mundo.

  • Georges Varanx

    brilliant!!!

  • Mauritzvd

Some jokes in this book are extremely funny, some are of deplorable quality - there are even some that are so absurd I can't even grasp them. All are dark and kind of mindbending. This was an easy, mostly enjoyable read, but in my honest opinion the book could easily have done without the incomprehensible pages.Or maybe I'm just an idiot.I've been knowm to be.

  • Ben Bueno

I bought this book a couple of years ago on a whim. I loved Cornella's work on social media but in book format something felt a bit off. Also "Fail Better Press" did a pretty miserable job with the print quality - it's mediocre at best. All in all, not really worth the money. If you like the man's work get a T-shirt instead.

  • Ben Brackett

Not for everyone, but if its for you

  • Simon Sweetman

    savage!

  • Mariana Castaño

Simplemente perfecto.

  • Leslie

This was disturbingly enjoyable. It's a bit like a funny bad trip. If you like dark twisted humor this book is for you.

  • Feather Mista

Muy divertido y desagradable a la vez, pero por algún motivo me causó más gracia cuando leí estas tiras como páginas sueltas que en este bonito recopilatorio.

  • Carolina Pareja

Hay demasiadas viñetas que no entiendo.

  • Arelis Uribe

No sé si me gusta, no sé si lo entiendo. Me da tanta risa, como asco y desconcierto.

  • Variaciones Enrojo

    Edición argentina a todo color.

  • Matt

If Yue Minjun and Johnny Ryan got together, this is what it would look like.

  • Kathleen

This guy is twisted. TWISTED! You feel wrong laughing at his cartoons, but you can't help yourself. And you will laugh.
