Short and sweet!A lot of action packed into quick read. The characters and plot were well developed and believable. I was looking forward to more of the story but it did end too quickly for me. Definitely a fun read!

This didn't feel as short as it was. I know that doesn't make sense, however its true. There was a lot in this book. The characters and plot were well written. I didn't feel as if it were short or unfinished as many short stories feel. It is a great clean read.

Cord, a convict facing a 2-year sentence for having robbed his former boss, is offered his freedom on the condition of marrying one of the local Misses. Josie is the lady who chooses him, because she wants to adopt a little girl and a single woman is not allowed to do that. Okay. Once I accepted that “small”, hard-to-believe detail, it actually made for a nice premise and story. However, I felt it could’ve been much more, if not so short. I missed a bit more depth to the characters, a bit [...]

This was a very short novelette, but it had a lot of story in it. I loved the characters of Cord and Josie. They each had their own reasons for marrying. I really liked that the story shows what can happen with God's timing. This is the first story in a series and I can't wait to read the rest of them. I would definitely recommend this book.I received an e-copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
