Comments Big Doin's At The Chinese Baptist Church [Tales of Mckinleyville Book 1]

  • Joyce

I read this as a Kindle book. It turned out to be a collection of stories set in the small California town of Mckinleyville. It was definitely humorous. It reminded me of stories set in the South featuring small town redneck people. I wouldn't rate it at the same level as Garrison Keillor or Tom Bodett but it was definitely entertaining.

  • Craig

The blurb compares it to the works of Keillor, Bodett (my favorite), and McManus. It is definitely in the same vein as these writer's works. I found it not quite as funny and entertaining as their works, but still well worth reading and quite enjoyable. I hope the writer keeps publishing and getting better.
