The Wildfire Ranch series was a delight to read! I've loved every story!I thought this was a very sweet romance. The story was written proportionally, meaning the relationship between our leads wasn't just thrown at us, it developed easily and at the right pace. And there were just enough hiccups along the way to make it relatable and believable. There's no real surprise to the story, but it's not predictable either. When you read this story, even tho you know the HEA ah-ha moment is at some poin [...]

Am I ever glad for this latest dose of Marietta & surrounding area. This series is always so much fun to read, & Callen definitely doesn’t disappoint with this one. Callen develops her story with a flair that really brings the subject matter to life. The well written, polished style that Callen pens this novella with allows the plot to shine through. The story itself was both emotional and heartfelt. As a reader I felt involved in the story, thoroughly enjoying every minute of it.The m [...]

I received this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.I thought this was a very sweet and cute romance. The characters had just enough troubles to be believable and their relationship grew at just the right pace to make me enjoy the story. I found myself, although knowing that they'd end up together, trying to figure out when they'd both realize they were the one for each other, and being pleasantly surprised that I didn't quite figure out every step along their journey! The add [...]

Alissa Callen just keeps getting better. This is yet another lovely story and worthy of all five stars. I'm usually not a fan of American cowboy romance but this story set in Montana has won me over.

These books get better and better. This is so emotional as Bridie struggles to deal with the loss of her father. Camping in the mountains soothes her soul, as does the very gorgeous, rather contained, Ethan. Lots of nature, lots of horse riding and a few dogse perfect story :)

Fun romance.Content: no language, little innuendo and implied sex but no scene and no details

  • Romancing the Book

Reviewed by AngelaBook provided by Alissa CallenReview originally posted at Romancing the Book His Outback Cowgirl is a quick little love story that take’s place in the beautiful countryside of Montana. Told from the point of view of Bernie and Ethan this story takes you on a rather slow journey through some of their issues of loss and love. The author is very descriptive about the scenery in the book as it changes throughout the story. For such a short book I thought that it would have been a [...]

Good readAnother great modern western romance by Alissa Callen. This author may be from Australia, but she has American ranching and modern day cowboys down to a tee. I will really be sorry to finish this series. Hunky cowboys and sassy, independent women. Sexual innuendo only, but lots of kisses and cuddling. Highly recommend.

Mostly likable characters and a decent plot. Not happy about the trope where someone is afraid to love in case they lose them down the road. Glad she shook it off and moved past it after only a few hours of angsting about it.

I have been steadily making my way through the Wildflower Ranch series - it's hard to force myself not to binge so the books can last a little longer, as there's only 6 of them. Wonderful descriptions of the landscapes, solid family history, lovely setting - out of the books read so far the story of Bridie and Ethan has been my favourite so far. The whole series makes a lovely, cosy reading, and leaves you wanting more and more.

Note: This ARC was provided by Tule Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. On the outside, Ethan Morgan is the opposite of his twin brother Cordell--he's level-headed and thinks before he does or says anything. Spending a few weeks with the father he met not too long ago in order to help him after his hip surgery is simply something he would never say "no" to. However, his father's request that he play tour guide and babysitter to one Australian cowgirl is something he may ref [...]

This book was received free via Netgalley for an honest review. My review is below. In my travels through the wonderful Montana Born books, I do my best not to miss any. That turned out to be huge for this book. I hadn't read the first book in the Wildflower Ranch series when I started His Outback Cowgirl. What a mistake that was! Despite these books all being connected, for the most part, a reader can skip around. But, because of the connection between this book and Cherish Me, Cowboy, it is imp [...]

First reviewed at Keeper BookshelfIt’s never easy losing a parent. Everyone reacts and grieves differently, there is no “right” way to move forward – there is only “your way” to do what is needed.Bridie has lost her father, even though she has found her half-brother, the grief, the emptiness of not having her dad to turn to is weighing heavily on her. I like this series of Wildflower Ranches. I like this author who builds the emotional connection between the characters as strongly as the physical connection. And I especially liked this book, His Outback Cowgirl. It has its roots in the first in the series, Cherish Me, Cowboy, but does not need to be read in order. Unless of course you want to see Henry’s first try at matchmaking. Honestly, he’s pretty darn good at it. I just love this old coot so I enjoyed getting to know him a bit better [...]

Alissa Callen’s Wildflower Ranch Series has become one of my favorites in recent times, and I’m so in love with these cowboys and cowgirls as well as Alissa Callen. Each book in the series is a charming love story under the big skies of Montana, people with big hearts, warm relationships and immense support and love. And into this heartwarming land comes “His Outback Cowgirl” Bridie Willis, Zane’s stepsister. A lovely, sweet addition to the Wildflower Ranch series. Bridie Willis has come to Montana to join her Mother and meet the half brother she never knew she had. She is also mourning her Father and the life she planned to have working at his side on their ranch. On the outside, Ethan Morgan is steady, calm, and ordinary, unlike his twin, Cordell. A touching, tender romance with strong characters, and a hint of danger mixed in.The sorrow and sadness in Birdie are so real and raw. She has just recovered from the scare with her mother's cancer, when she lost her father. They complement each other perfectly [...]

  • Book Gannet

This is a lovely, steady romance that I enjoyed from start to finish. Ethan is gorgeous. Life has made him who he is, and he feels that he’s just too dull and boring for Bridie. I loved how gentle he was with her, how understanding about her grief and how he gives her time to be alone, while also just being around if she needs him. Their time away in the mountains was just lovely – as much for the wildlife as for their growing relationship.I liked Bridie too. She’s nice and fun, even if sh [...]

An unexpected love story.Bridie Willis had no idea traveling from Australia to Montana would lead to more than just meeting her half-brother and the change of scenery to mourn for her father. Alissa has written another good story. I love these Marietta stories. This one goes a long way-literally. Alissa has made her people strong but sometimes you need someone to help you. Bridie and her mother lived in Australia. When their husband/father died they came home to Bridie's house. Poor Bridie held every together for her Mom. Who will help Bridi? Enter Ethan. He is a slow, think it over type of person, the exact opposite of Bridie. She wants to camp in the mountains and take photos. She [...]
