Can love reform one's behaviour? Well, this is definitely the case for Benjamin when he meets Vinnie who turns his world upside down. Until he meets Vinnie Benjamin's idea of a relationship was a blowjob in the backroom of the local gay night club. Yes, Benjamin's young, free, single and a bit of a man whore to be honest. I just loved the way that his attitude and behaviour transforms once he meets Vinnie at Uni. He falls heavily in love which makes him reconsider his way of life, realising how [...]

I loved this book and am a huge fan of Lily’s work. She manages to create characters that you just cannot help but fall in love with. Ben falls for Vinnie falls for Ben, simple right? Wrong! This pair of star crossed lovers make Romeo & Juliet look like pretenders.Vinnie has a wonderfully artistic streak and is struggling to make his art pay, he simply does it for love. Then he falls in love with Ben and his art takes on a new life of it’s own.At times I wanted to hug them, and then smac [...]

Wow what a story. Between crying at times and smiling, I found myself totally glued to my chair until I finished the whole story. This will be a reread for me.

3.5/5 stars Audio reviewBen and Vinnie are college students that come from very different backgrounds, yet they share a mutual interest… each other. Ben comes from money. His parents pay his tuition, bought him a car and he works for the family business. Vinnie has struggled to make ends meet, working for two years to save up the money to pay for college. His parents were killed when he was still young, his two older brothers Finn and Theo stepped up and provided for the three of them as well [...]

4 star review by CindyBen and Vinnie are frustrating and the perfect examples of people who need to work on their communication skills. When they meet, Vinnie is all shy and wary and Ben starts off pushing too hard and too fast. But Ben learns from his mistakes and soon realizes that something worth having does take time and patience, so he backs off and learns to give Vinnie the space he needs to process the feelings he’s having and the way he feels about Ben.Vinnie has been badly hurt before [...]

Beautiful love story, sensuous and artistic like the cover itself, with some darker moments and the light of the starry sky leading the way to the happy ending. This was my first audio book and the first from this author so I didn't know what I was going into. Now that I've finished it, I am glad this was my first experience with both as it was really good. I must confess I couldn't connect with the characters right away and, yes, as stated in the beginning, it seemed to me too similar to every o [...]

3.75 starsOh so close to a 4 star rating but not quite there. Did I enjoy Paint The Sky? ABSOLUTELY! Were there things about it that drove me crazy? ABSOLUTELY! I loved the writing. Let me repeat, I LOVED THE WRITING. Now that you know I loved the writing I going to say that at times, epecially in the beginning, I felt it was too descriptive. Here's an example "Choosing lightweight, comfortable clothing from my ample wardrobe to wear for the morning, I dressed in front of the full-length mirror. [...]

Here I am reviewing one of my fave authors.First of all, I've to say that I loved this book. The love story between the two guys was really strong since the first few pages and I thought:"Please, don't let them split up."Unfortunately, not everything goes how I hoped for.(view spoiler)[ Vinnie is a great painter and his boyfriend Ben knows it. He wants to help his lover and he asks his father to find customers for Vinnie. Wrong move. Vinnie thinks that Ben wants to control him and they start to [...]

1.5 stars for chick with dicks. I love this cover, it's what attracted me to this book to start with. Unfortunately, reading this book has been a painful experience for me. The characters act like immature brats one moment, the next I swear they were chicks who loved drama. The writing, while not grammatically incorrect, was childish and the story had no flow. And Vinnie's brother, the eldest, was a dickhead (yes Finn, I'm talking about you, you asshole!). What kind of family tries to sleep with [...]

DISCLAIMER: I was provided a free copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review. My only real complaint is that it wasn't longer. I wanted more. When things got rocky, I wanted to experience more of that. When things were good, I wanted to experience everything. The characters were likable and fit well together. On another level, the narrator of the audio book was perfect. He made the characters sound different enough that you could easily tell who was speaking without doing crazy voi [...]

Probably less than 3 stars but I tend to save 2 or less for truly shit books and this was not that. The concept of the book was very good. The way it was written and carried outt so much. It feltI can't think of word that doesn't come across as super insulting and I hate doing that so I'll say maybe not as mature as others I've read. I never fully understood what went so wrong between these two that they had to be apart and in pain for so long which made it very frustrating. Grrr, I don't know, [...]

I'd been eagerly awaiting this for a little while. I adored Vinnie immediately, he seemed like a really sweet shy guy. I loved how they got together and the painting on Ben was HOT! Later I really wanted to shake both of them. Men are lousy communicators and this pair were no exception. They frustrated me no end, but thank goodness it all worked out in the end. I liked Vinnie's brother Theo too, he was sweet, but the other one, Finn, I found a bit creepy when he flirted with Ben, knowing Vinnie [...]

  • Beacullen

I loved how the cover of this book is a theme through the whole book, its very creatively used. The two main characters are very sweet, and I really wanted them to find their happiness. They get together very quickly, but then things come between them and they separate for a while. Its very painful for them both, and is a bit angsty. But in the end everything turns out more than good, I really loved how it all ended up

  • Petronella Ford

This book really deserves 5 stars just for the cover which is beautiful. This is a good story. It gets a bit heartbreaking in the middle but I love all the other characters interactions, Vinnie's brothers for example. For me the problem was that there were several places where I thought the story had ended and then there was more but if you like a bit (lots) of angst with your HEA then this is for you

  • Donna

Loved this book. Would listen to Ben and Vinnie's story or even Vinnie's brothers stories with glimpses into Ben and Vinnie's life.First time I have listened to Joel Leslie's voice, loved it, great job

If I could give this book a ten I would. I loved it. A wonderful story, with wonderful characters. Well written, and a great story line.

I feel like this book had the perfect amount of drama. I really enjoyed this book, finished this in one day because I didn't want to put it down.

This book was Great. The Writing. The Narration. All great. Absolutely nothing wrong with this book and Narration. The Author and Narrator both did a fantastic job. I have to admit that I originally got this book because of the cover. It’s just so Pretty! And I’m glad I did take the chance on this one. But man I wish I would have known this book would rip my Heart out and make me cry. Jesus. And. I am sooooo unbelievably Mad at Vinnie. I mean really I kinda hated him for like half the book L [...]

AUDIOBOOK editionI enjoyed listening to Mr. Leslie narrating this book and the voices he gave the many characters. Emotional and complicated, the relationship between Ben and Vinnie starts really good and I hoped for a more balanced story. Ben is hopelessly in love with Vinnie, and does so many things to show it too. Vinnie comes across as immature, I don't like him too much when he chooses to throw all that away for one who abuses him. Why?I am glad there is a HEA though so it is not all lost.

    A sweet read! Excellent narration.

So, let’s get the basics out of the way…LOVE the cover – so hot! The writing was pretty good…I love English books – their spelling and slang is different than ours and I love it. It seems like this could be the start to a series…I’d love to see books about Vinnie’s brothers – Theo and Finn. When we first meet Ben he seems a bit snobbish and shallow. He’s also a bit of a man whore…only partaking in quickies in the back room of the club he frequents. When he finally finds the [...]

3.75 starsFor the past couple of years, while studying at university, Ben has been admiring fellow student, Vinnie, from afar. He thinks he's absolutely beautiful and is often mesmerized by Vinnie's focus on his art. When he finally plucks up the courage to talk to his crush, the two men discover not only their deep affection for each other, but also how much they have in common. However, demons from the past could threaten to tear them apart.I enjoyed this latest work from Lily G. Blunt. All of [...]

The first thing that hit me with this story was the British accent of the narrator. I hadn’t realized it had been so long since I had heard my own native accent spoken on tape. After a while Joel’s voice had me immersed in the story. After a while I wanted to bang the main character’s heads together. Ben and Vinnie are lovely but they don’t communicate and so they end up arguing, making up, and starting the cycle over, and over. Vinnies brothers are funny and likable, although I did want [...]
