Did I enjoy this book: I loved this book. If I had an award to hand out for “best hook in a novel,” Clancy would win the gold medal. The minute I started reading my eyeballs nearly popped out of my head. Traceless keeps the action moving along at a nice pace and crosses the finish line with the momentum of an Olympic sprinter. If I only judged this story based on its entertainment value, I’d give it five stars easily, but the book had a few problems. First, any tough editor would have rejec [...]

I received a free download of "Darkness Descending" by Joanne Clancy in exchange for an honest review. This is the latest release of another gripping detective-crime thriller mystery, that definitely packs a punch, and has the reader trying to solve the case along with the detectives. This is a crime novel set in Ireland with a twist!"Her boyfriend was missing, presumed dead, a crazed gunman was on the loose, and Darcey Ackerman was the only witness."Darcey Ackerman and Adam Stoltz drove in thei [...]

I received a copy from the author so I could review it. Although I didn't like some of the characters, I really enjoyed the book. Since this sounds like the beginning of a series, I hope Ms. Clancy develops the main characters more. They don't seem to have big parts in this book. I thought the plot went off the rails about 2/3 of the way through but the little twist at the end tied it together for me. I would definitely read another of Ms. Clancy's books.

Traceless had me on the edge of my seat from the very first page!! I could not put this book down. There was suspense and twists throughout the story. I did not expect the end, what a surprise! This is a fabulous read.

"Traceless" by Joanne Clancy which I won through Giveaways has all the ingredients of an intoxicating murder-mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. It begins with the disappearance of Adam Stoltz in the Wicklow Mountains near Enniskerry. That night having fought the assailant and hiding in the woods Darcey Ackerman escapes to tell the police her story. With no body, and a lack of clues Darcey becomes a victim of a media frenzy that has her painted as a [...]

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was pretty excited to get it since I am a huge mystery buff. This is also a first time read for me with this Author. In this story Adam Stoltz disappears and his girlfriend Darcy is the last person to see him alive while she also fights for her own life. She appears to be a bit unclear at times as to what happens. Gina, a reporter, thinks that something is amiss and forms her own investigation to get to the bottom of Adam's [...]

I am a huge fan of mystery/thrillers, but I can only think of one other book/series that is more like true crime. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy them much, since I am more of a character driven person over plot. But Traceless was really good. It's hard to really talk about the book without spoilers. So, bear with me.The story follows the disappearance and presumed murdered, Adam Stoltz. Driving with his girlfriend, Darcey - she survives the attack and is the sole witness to the crime. We f [...]

What an opening to this riveting crime mystery novel as it carries you through on a thrilling wave of the unknown and opens up a world of questions that you want answers to. At not quite knowing what really happened to Adam on that roadside when he disappeared, supposedly at the mercy of a deranged gunman whilst his girlfriend Darcey escaped and lived to tell the tale. Was it a tale, did she make it all up to cover over something more sinister or is it the truth and nothing but? What should you [...]

Book Readers ReviewTraceless by Joanne Clancy is a mystery that leaves you wondering and possibly a little frustrated. The plot has potential that was not realized. Adam Stoltz disappears and his girlfriend Darcy Ackerman the last person to see him alive. She appears to be traumatized and unclear as to what happened. George Ellis heads a major police investigation. However, Adam remains missing without a trace. Darcey, is questioned relentlessly by the police as she was the last person to see Ad [...]

I received this book from the Author Joanne Clancy in return for an honest review,On a trip through Europe, Darcey Ackerman and her boyfriend Adam Stoltz were in Ireland driving one night through Wicklow Mountains. What was turning into a beautiful evening ended up with Adam now missing and possibly dead and, after escaping from the hands of an apparent madman, Darcey is in a total state of shock! As Darcey relived her horror of the night over and over again to the police, she vehemently refused [...]

This was a very interesting story that had a lot of twists and turns throughout it. At first, I couldn't believe how "easily" Darcey was able to escape the presumed killer but after the first few chapters it became clear that the story was focused around her boyfriend's status- whether the person who got them to stop killed her boyfriend, whether her boyfriend had set up a situation so he could disappear and start a new life or if she was in on it with the "killer".As the police and the press du [...]

I finished to read Traceless by Joanne Clancy. 1st. I have to say that it was interesting to read a book base on Ireland. is full of american stories. This story is a cop mistery, and it tells the tragic fate of Adam, and her girlfriend Darcey. They were travelling alone through the mountains when they were assaulted by a man. Everything about the happenings is based on the only witness that remains alive, Darcey, and some phisical evidences. Almost all the story is about someone interpretation [...]

I received a paperback copy of Traceless in exchange for a review. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end, and actually read it twice before posting a review on GoodReadsJonanne's approach to the story was addictive! As a fan of mystery-thriller television shows, this is the first mystery-thriller book I've read. The characters were so vivid, the story was so well written, the ending was not the conclusion one would expect, I reread the book to get a grasp on every detail. As murder/mysteries [...]

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.Traceless had me on the edge of my seat from the first page. I stayed up late, very late to finish this book. This was a good murder mystery and I couldn't believe some of the stuff I was reading. It is a fast-moving book that definitely keeps you guessing to the very end. I enjoy reading mysteries and thrillers and this book didn’t disappoint. This was the first book I’ve read from this author and will not be the last! Th [...]

TRACELESS is an exhilerating novel that will keep readers on the edge of their seat. When Adam Stoltz disappears in the Wicklow Mountains and his girlfriend Darcy claims that she was attacked and nearly raped, an all-out search ensues. Police and reporters search for Adam or any trace of him, while Darcy remains elusive, claiming to be too traumatized to speak. The ensuing search is exciting and, at the same time, scary. I sat on the edge of my seat as I turned the pages, wondering just who Adam [...]

I was on a rollercoaster of emotions with this book, and not necessarily in a good way. When I first started reading, I was a little bored and a bit distracted by the mechanical writing until, of course, I became gripped by the suspense. The suspense in this book is one of wonders, and I admire it for that. But because of the buildup of suspense, I was expecting much more of an outcome. Everything fell flat for me in the end. The ending felt like it was trying to be more of a twist than it actua [...]

He swears there was a woman in the road. He almost hits her. Screams for help in the night air prove that he wasn't imagining it. This book starts off with a bang and never stops. We follow along while the woman tells her story of what happened on the mountain back roads. The cops are trying to find her missing boyfriend but they aren't sure if he's even still alive. There is so many twists and turns in this book it is hard to put the book down I wasn't able to and had to read the whole thing in [...]

I received this e-book for free in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed reading this book but I found that the ending left more questions than answers. The characters are well written and the plot kept you guessing and there was not a slow moment in the story. I only wish that we knew if Adam was still alive or if he had been killed. I gave this e-book 3 stars only because I don't see this book as something I will re-read again and again. But I do still highly recommend it for anyone who lov [...]

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The description of this book made it sound like it was going to be an amazing psychological thriller, the girlfriend narrowly escapes with her life and then becomes obsessed with finding the murderer of her boyfriend. I kept waiting for the girlfriend to become the driving force of this book, but it never happened. The book was able to grab my attention almost immediately, but shortly after the arrival of the police and media th [...]

I didn't want to put this down! While reading it my mind kept asking very similar questions to those of the investigators and could not wait to find out what really happened. I do wish there had been a bit more of a storyline for Gina and George. Both of the characters intrigued me and the pieces of their backstories that were provided, made me want to know more. This is definitely a good, quick read. I very mich enjoyed reading it!

  • Shawn

I was told about this book from a friend, she swore by it. And I read a different series, by her words, so I tried this one.I felt it was somewhat boring in the beginning, I was reading when work was slow, and just couldn't stay focused, and then suddenly today, something happened, and I focused and read it and finished it. I really did enjoy this story, it's not my normal, so I had to reset my mind, but it was a good read, kept me interested and wondering what was going on.

  • Gina Mashai

I received a copy for an honest review. The summary really had me hooked and I was really looking forward to reading this story. I really wanted to love this book. The story started out good but dragged to the point had I not been reviewing I would have stopped. I will admit it had a very surprising ending I never saw coming.

  • Denise

'Traceless' kept me guessing until the end. I enjoyed the storyline and how it played out. I had a feeling about one of the characters so I wasn't too surprised at the end. I'm not saying which one, that would only spoil it for you. The characters were great. I liked how the author kept throwing bits in. I didn't want to put this book down. Well written. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended.

  • Cynthia Lanovaz

I finished this book in one day, I couldn't put it down I wanted to know what happened to Adam. We will never know what will happen with Darcey either. I hope that she gets what she deserves in the end.
