When I saw this book, I wanted to read it as it had ghosts and sounded fun. It turns out it is about the afterlife. When ghosts are murdered, they go to the in-between world where they are waiting for their murders to be solved. When the murder is solved, they are presented with a golden key which is the only way to unlock the door into the world that is Heaven, etc. Three girls Lorna, Nancy, and Charlotte, have been designated as what they call The Dead Girls Detective Agency. They give the pol [...]

It's been quite a while since I read the first installment of the series, 'The Dead Girl's Detective Agency', so if you'd like to read my review of that book and remind yourself what was happening, you can read that over here. I'd been intending to read 'Dead Girls Walking' for a while but I never managed to get around to it, but because I'm attempting to finish (and catch up) with more series in 2016, this one was a no-brainer.In the first book we were introduced to Charlotte, the newest inhabi [...]

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to Constable & Robinson and NetGalley.)The dead girls are back to solve another mystery.Who killed Mercy? And can the girls work it out in time? This story was actually worse than the first book in the series, because it ended with a ginormous cliff-hanger.Charlotte was the main character again! I thought it might be the newly dead girl, but no it was Charlotte, and she was pretty much the same in this [...]

(I received a copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.) Dead Girls Walking was just as bad as the first one.The characters were the same, and they were their usual annoying selves.Unfortunately, there was a new girl in their group, and she was just as bad.The jokes in the last one were cringe worthy, and i didn't think they could get any worse. but they did.The ending was rubbish, yet again. It ended on a cliffhanger, and didn't wrap the investigation up.I wasn't impressed, as i hav [...]

I'm writing a review after ages but I literally just finished this book 2 minutes ago and I had to just say WHAT??!!! HOW CAN THE BOOK END LIKE THAT?!!! *STEAM COMING OUT OF MY EARS* etc etc. I'm quite frustrated at the ending. I mean really??! I waited ages to read this book and I guess it didn't really disappoint because I mean, hello? Edison. He is just so sexy. *sigh* Anyway, this was an absolutely fantastic read. It was a bit annoying their detecting but I guess it had to be that way. And h [...]

A huge thank you to publishers and netgalley for allowing me to receive this is exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the trilogy, to see my review of the first book, The Dead Girls Detective Agency, Click HereI was really eager to return to this series and was very happy when I was accepted to review it. Although, after finishing it, I have to say I was a little disappointed with this novel. It was nice to return to the Attesa hotel and its ghostly inhabitants. I really like [...]

After pleasantly enjoying The Dead Girls Detective Agency, I was pretty excited to see where Cox would take Nancy, Lorna and Charlotte next with their next murder, but what I didn't expect was for this book to have such a focus on all types of relationships and the fine line between the living the dead, not to mention that totally uncalled for cliff hanger which now has me begging for a copy of the third installment. Dead Girls Walking, like that of the first book wasn't without it's flaws, but [...]

    NEED A THIRD BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Michelle (Much Loved Books)

Quickie ReviewThis series is still quite new to me, I had literally just finished reading The Dead Girls Detective Agency when I picked up Dead Girls Walking. One thing I liked about Dead Girls Walking was how it is focused on one of the other girls in the agency, and that it's not all about Charlotte again, I liked getting to see from a different perspective. The plot itself had me wondering who was the suspect and I liked how it ended up being a double investigation. The ending was not what I e [...]

This book felt like it was draining my life The first one was better than this one and honestly, all I hoped for was Charlotte and Edison's relationship to grow A LOT more than it did. I mean, the biggest thing to happen was her kissing him and he seemed to not even give two shits after moping after her for so long. It was just so hard to find interest in anything else, too. I couldn't fall in love with any characters, they had boring life (and death) stories. AND THE GRAMMATICAL MISTAKES. HOLY [...]

This was just what I needed. Something light, easy to read, and fun. It's about a Dead teenagers detective agency. When you are murdered in NY, to be able to move on you have to solve your murder then you get a key to go through the next door. There are 4 in the team and when Mercy dies they help to solve her murder. The ending wasn't what I expected. I look forward to the next book because this one ended with a cliff-hanger.

Nice one, like the first, major twists (2!) at the end, which I reluctantly use to add 1 star to what would otherwise be a solid and recommended 3 star-book. Major teen drama with a few suspects for the killer. As saying more would be a major spoiler, I should have read this way faster, but got distracted by other things to do.Cannot wait for the next book in the series, which is so far not even announced.

This is a book of teenage ghosts who have to help solve the mystery of other murdered teenagers. It seems a bit strange at first but when you get into the book its actually funny and really good. Its all modern day so will keep most youngsters entertained. The story is not slow paced and keeps you reading. Although not an immediate lovable book, i did enjoy this and would recommend.
