    Who hasn't had a dream about killing their spouse? (nobody? whoops!)The second in this trilogy again is focused around obsession and eating/tasting. The descriptions are tangible, I could almost smell the strawberries.This time its told from Bruces PoV he explains his lack of focus and sense of dismay as his world and body fall apart; clinging on to the hope that Serge the Haitian student can help him.Half way through he discovers Marahs licking but decides to about turn and go get coffee instea [...]

    Another brilliant story by Ms. Dickson (no surprise there). As far as sequels go, this book is, in some ways, superior to the first. It certainly has a more literary edge to it. Sweetness, as this book is appropriately called, is a slightly different animal than it's predecessor. It's more reflective than horrifically gut-wrenching like Taste.     Everything in Sweetness works as well as I expect from Dickson. Honestly, the male object of affection (Dr. Bruce Amherst) just isn't that interesting. I did enjoy the Ramen Shaman though. A fun read. I'll return for the concluding chapter.
