5 Words: Conflict, love, family, passion, beliefs. That was lovely, and not what I expected at all. This is a perfect contemporary romance. It's fun and flirty, there is conflict aplenty, a few misunderstandings and lots of passion.I loved the writing style and I loved the characters - although the name Marnie didn't sit very well with me, especially when you add in Marines and it all gets a little confusing. This is a heart-warming story about love when you least expect it, and being brave enough [...]

When I started this book I wasn't sure I would like it because the heroine Marnie in the past few books has come across as sanctimonious, the perfect judgy Southern belle but as I came to know her in this book I liked her, she had changed and knew that she had been wrong before and hadn't even forgiven herself for what went wrong with her friends a decade back.Marnie grew up in an extremely conservative house-hold but she broke free after a lot of mistakes and then at her friend's Cassie's weddi [...]

Almost every girl was part of group of friends in high-school that after graduating still continued to visit each other, hang out, cause trouble and just generally be happy. Along the way of course each and every one of you either after a bad break up said you would never marry or that you hated men, but when the right one came along it was bye bye single life hello marital bliss! In most cases everyone will rejoice and be happy, but what if you are the last one remaining single and with no sign [...]

3 starsIt's a story about friends with benefit fall in love with each others.Dear readers who enjoyed this book and author, please don't hate me because it's an OKAY for this book. Here goes review:Things that worked for me.1. Book is funny.2. Thumbs up to steamy scenes.Things that didn't work for me.1. Felt no chemistry between main characters as they claimed.2. Main characters gave bad impressions at first I was close to DNF this book.3. Marnie/Gina relationship ended up well but didn't reach [...]

This one was not as good as the other books in this series, but still a quick entertaining read!!

  • Bookswithbenefits

It has a big hotness factor. Looking back at my highlights and favorites, a lot of them are smexy scenes, and let me tell ya, that never happens to me. Drunken hookups and office trysts usually find me nose turned up and book closed, but Lang has serious skills and writes sex that is intimate and hot, hot, hot. Sex for sex sake is fine by me, but I don’t appreciate when it’s disguised as budding love, and tales of attraction turned love often end up little more than erotica with novel aspira [...]

I binged this series over Christmnas, as they were sitting on my kindle for ages. So goood! This was my favourtie book out of the lot, but I really did like them all. Fun characters and great writing. A very easy and entertaining read.

This book was won as one of First Reads giveaways. This book is the fourth one in the Wedding Season quartet of stories, and really, I think it would have been so much more handy if I'd read the other three first because half the time while reading this, I really wasn't sure what had happened to who in the past, so found it tricky to grasp straight away what everyone's relationship to each other was. I also found the sheer volume of ups and downs, prejudice and cheating to be somewhat off-puttin [...]

Review Taken From The Pewter WolfIn this, the last book in the Wedding Season quartet, with all the drama of her past and watching all her friends getting married, Marnie decides to do something reckless. She sleeps with Dylan Brookes, a man who makes the wedding tux sexy. And is sexier without it. And Dylan always doing the sensible thing, a night with Marnie is as far from sensible as he could get. But in the cold light of day, where does this leave them? This isn't my cup of tea. I am going to [...]

Received this book courtesy of a Giveawayloveisastateofmind.wordpress.c4.5*It is unusual to stumble across a contemporary romance series which is perfect in every way, even rarer to find such a perfect series in which each book is written by a different author but by jove I've found one. This series, for me, was the definition of perfect in every way, there was a great mix of characters and whilst the focus of each book was of course on the Hero and Heroine and their romance, there was also a la [...]

Oh this is funny, won another giveaway =)14 September 2013: There are four of these books about 4 old uni friends who are now all going to get married, with the obvious slight hiccups along the way, each written by a different writer. I've actually ended up winning three of these books. This is the second one I've read, and I thought this was better than the first one I read (Girl Least Likely to Marry). This one seemed calmer, more realistic and less objectionable (you can actually like this h [...]

I do now wish I had read the previous books in the series. Especially based on some of other reviews I've read. I wasn't a big fan of Marnie as I started reading this book. I can honestly say that I was not sure I was going to finish this book. The first chapter was hard to get into because it was trying to give me backstory and I wasn't buying into the heroine being so antiquated in her views on relationships. I also wasn't sure that I was convinced on her change along the way. Once I got to ch [...]

  • Gail

I've read at least one of the other books in this series about four college friends. This is the last one. The hero and heroine are both children of privileged upbringings. She escaped from her family's expectations and wants nothing to do with the hero because he seems exactly like one of the guys she would have been expected to marry. Polished but dull and boring. Then she's manipulated into dancing with him at a friend's wedding and they click. Serious clicking. And the romance begins with ch [...]

So we've been through the whole Reese and Mason, Reese and Dylan, back to Reese and Mason, Cassie and Tuck, Gina and Carter, Gina and an man, back to Gina and Carter, and now Marnie gets her shot at Dylan. I liked Dylan in Reese's story and how he stepped aside when it was obvious she still had feelings for Mason. Marnie has been more in the background and we didn't really get to know her until this story. The relationship built slowly but when it came down to the wire it was good to see that wh [...]

First read copy from publisher:It's a Mills and Boon so it's a romance, and I enjoyed it. It didn't pretend to be erotic, it hinted at great sex without trying to be anything else. Marnie is a southern belle fighting her upbringing, and making a pretty good job of carving out an alternative life she enjoys. Dylan is rich, successful and doesn't believe in love and marriage. They're the most unlikely duo you'd expect to get together but it works. The friends make you laugh out loud with some of th [...]

Won in First Reads giveaway.I read books 1 and 2 of this series as well as this one and I have enjoyed them all, as they have generally been written with a fresh perspective and with a modern touch - no simpering virgins and throbbing anythings!I didn't connect to Marnie as well as I had the other girls in the Awesome Foursome and Dylan remained a bit of a mystery. I enjoyed their 'non relationship' relationship - they were only kidding themselves!they did both have their issues and Marnie seem [...]

Review Posted on HarlequinJunkieDylan and Marnie couldn’t be any more wrong for each other, but sometimes chemistry doesn’t get that message.Marnie was having a very interesting couple of weeks. She and Gina were talking, which made the Awesome Foursome a group of friends again. But Gina was sleeping with her brother, which was a reminder of all the damage she’d done to their relationship in the past. Read More

I have a habit of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time; for being a little too impetuous and not always engaging my brain before speaking. As well as kicking myself massively when this happens, I also find it rather humiliating to look back on those mistakes I’ve made. So out of all the Wedding Season heroines, I think Marnie’s the one that I can identify with the mostexploitsofachicklitaficionado.

  • Mariela Bustos

This series has definitely been a fun read. Marnie the southern belle with some spice was fun to read. And easy to relate. She finds herself in a triangle with Dylan, but of her on doing. It was fun to see how they fall for each other. This book gives you a twist of sexy with a twist of seriousness. It's nice to rumple a man who is set in his ways. I loved the interaction of the main characters, and the secondaries. Great read and these writers worked amazingly in this series.

  • Writerlibrarian

I liked this second book for me in the Wedding Season series as much as Girl Least Likely to Marry for completely different reasons. Marny is not the type of character I'm most fond of but Kimberly Lang managed to make me cared about her. How she dealt with the situations and how she moved forward. Dylan was a little harder to like but he had enough self awareness to counter balance the alpha male persona. A quick and happy read.

I won a copy of this book in a giveaway.Last Groom Standing was rather addictive for me. Once I started to read I couldn't stop so I was finished in a few hours.I loved the characters. The author, Kimberly Lang, really delves into their lives so you learn all there is to know about their past & present. The storyline is very interesting and has quite a bit of humour. All in all I thought it was very good and I would recommend Last Groom Standing to romance fans worldwide!

  • Michelle

Marnie and Dylan's romance was a fun story. I have to say, I adored Marnie's character. Her quick southern wit had me laughing out loud on several occasions. I thoroughly enjoyed the friendship that the Awesome Foursome share and was thrilled to see them all find their way back to one another. Most importantly (this is a romance, after all), the relationship between Dylan and Marnie was toe-curling and charming at the same time. A great testament to taking risks!

  • Carly

I received this book from as part of their 'First Reads'.I thoroughly enjoyed this book despite its predictability. It is a contemporary romance with a great mix of characters. I also liked the way the story kept going back over the years. I knew how it would end but surprisingly I couldn't put the book down. A great little book.

  • J B

Ok so this one didn't wrap it up at all. At the end I realized all these stories took place within about 5 months of each other (roughly) and that's a bit rushed in my opinion. This one felt most rushed at the end which left me a bit bereft. I wanted everything tied up with pretty bows! Perhaps the next series will continue with The Baby Season ;-)

  • Sarah Ramsden

this was my first giveaway win which I was happy about as I had read the first two books in the series.I did not enjoy this one as much as the first two, I think there was a lack of chemistry between the two main characters.

  • Peni

My favorite of The Wedding Season series. This story finally answrrs all the questions the other stories allude to. Also iy is well written and entertaining. By the end I actually like all the characters. For the most part, this story can stand on its own. Recommended

  • Annmarie

Copy obtained through giveaway. This is the first and only book I have read of this series and whilst I found it ok, I found that I constantly second guessing what had happened in previous books and it was distracting from the story in this one.

  • Romsiyah

bagus juga seri ini bolehlah masuk kardus. hahahhamasih kurang satu buku lagi. Maid of Dishonor kapan nymp kerumah? wkwkw dr buku 4 baru baca 3, knp semuanya dimulai dr 'main-main' yg bikin ketagihan. hahahahha

  • Krystel Theodore-Branker

This was a great ending to a wonderful series. It was such a feel good read. Loved the storyline, enjoyable, just what you need from a book sometimes. Not overly dramatic but not so easy to make you bored. Simply put it was just right!

  • Cary

The last in the series and I was glad that it wrapped itself up so nicely with the beginning becoming the end. I like things like that - it is just the romantic in me. This book felt a bit "cleaner" than some of the other and I can tell I cared enough to stick with it all the way through.
