Dr Jillian is a OBGYN doctor at St. Luke's Hospital in Las Lunas, California. She was in the ER when a patient was brought in. The patient died and she was Kara Carlyle, who used to be Jillian's brothers girlfriend. She was also a twin, actually a 'mirror twin'. The police thought that it was a hit and run accident. That turned out to be wrong. As Dr. Jillian got involved in the 'murder' there were others that were murdered. The only thing they all had in common was that they worked at or worked [...]

I enjoyed getting to know Jillian and the rest of the characters in this story. Loved Aunt Lilly. I had a hard time putting it down, but had to get some sleep! Picked it back up as soon as I got up the next morning. Very suspenseful, but with humor also. Highly recommend.

  • Carol Forster

Was so happy to be included, in the "Chicks book club". The first group to have thePrivilege of reading this suspense filled Novel. Highly recommended .

Fun MysteryGood read. I will look for more of her books. The characters were fun to follow. On to my next book!

  • E

This was a pretty good Kindle freebie! Fast paced mystery. The author said she was working on the second in the series, but I can't find any record of it.

Dr Jillian Sanders has a problem--actually a few problems. A good friend is the victim of a hit-and-run. She dreads the reaction of her slightly unstable brother, who loved that friend. And then somebody, presumably the same party who offed her friend, is now trying to kill Jillian as well.As in all good mysteries, the list of suspects is lengthy. Law enforcement is not as hostile as in some such stories, but it does tend to be "elusive." Which means solving this thing is pretty much up to Jilli [...]

Romance and murder wrap around her like the detective's armsGently teased into romance, not so gently thrown into solving murder, this tough lady doctor kept me turning turning the pages. Merged review:Romance and murder wrap around her like the detective's armsGently teased into romance, not so gently thrown into solving murder, this tough lady doctor kept me turning turning the pages.

Jillian Sanders is an OBGYN doctor who plays amateur detective when her brother's ex-fiance dies after a hit and run accident. I found this story and characters engaging and likable. Another plus is that the book isn't overly long but just right in length. What I found a bit unbelievable is how easy it was for the cops to provide surveillance to the characters. I don't imagine that happens in real life.

  • Linda Look

Dr. Jillian Sanders, an obstetrician, is asked to treat/identify her brother's fiance, a hit & run victim. This leads to her involvement in several murders and attempts on her own life. Took me several days to finish this but it is a light mystery that I started because I have a friend who has the same name as the author. I rate it a 3.4.

Doctor and DetectiveThis book shows that it is possible to use your grey matter in all areas of your life. When a woman decides her life has problems that are not getting solved by others she applies the problem solving skills learned in her profession and makes a difference. Also the medical situations were interesting. Good positive effort. Good editing. An author to follow.

  • Chris Mclean

I really liked this book and Jill Sanders, the main character, who is an OB/GYN. She is called to the ER to assess a pregnant woman she sees a victim of a hit and run and realizes it is her brother's ex-fiancé. She is drawn into trying to solve the mystery.

  • Tracey Billing

I throughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. Dr Jillian's character was a joy to read about and the fact that she couldn't keep out of the 'detective's' way was awesome. I love stories of people that get drawn into a different line of work.

  • Patricia Ibarra

A friend Dr Jillian Sanders was involved in a hit-and-run and dies. Her brother used to be in love with this woman, and now somebody is trying to kill her as well. Weak plot, and very weak character development. It was not worth my time.

  • Vykki

This book has more turns then a tilt-wurl-whirl. The plot drag me in and took me for a ride. This was a wonderful book.

  • Rebecca

Overall pretty good. If not a 4* read, it is at least very close to it.

  • SNF

Whilst I enjoyed the use of medical terms and explanations for extra descriptive purposes, I found the end to be somewhat hurried.

  • Joan Giampa

Substantially thrillingEven the jokes were funny. The medical stuff was just enough. When's Dr. Sanders next appointment? Sign me up already.

  • Sharon Morris Marks

This is an excellent mystery novel. It will keep you up all night.

  • Ila

Very good read. I had a hard time putting it down.

  • Lavenia Otts

Cute and perkyA young woman is the victim of a hit and run, but no accident. Dr. Sanders decides to play amateur detective in order to solve the case. Who done it?

  • Stephanie Collie

    Great read!

  • Beth Sammons

Great mysteryTwists and turns. A quick read. Great characters. Culprit was somewhat predictable. Some people just can't keep their nose out of others business ;)

  • Chris

It was fair. Not great literature. Nothing to make me recommend it to others. Loose ends were all wrapped up at end though.
