When this book lists 70 rodents that can be found in Washington and Oregon, why would you ever use a book that was as expansive as all of North America? A field guide to North American mammals would either be a desk set, or it would leave out a huge portion of what you are likely to see. Plus, in classic Lone Pine style, this field guide includes lots of information you want in an easy to read style, and no information you don't want.I heart Lone Pine field guides.
