AwesomeThis one was brilliant. I love this series. In this sequel we meet Raina the catwere alpha. She fights with Lara after we see her transform into a wolf during daylight. Something she no longer should be able to do. Lara takes her and her cubs prisoner, and presents them all to Sylvan.Raina helps the wolves and the vampires capture a cat were who works for the humans experimenting on Sylvan's wolves. So can, Jody and Raina then become allies. Also, Lara becomes Raina's mate. Which is kinda [...]

This is the 4th book in the Midnight Hunters series. Be sure to read Books 1-3 first!Like Niki, Lara finds herself adrift in a rapidly changing world as she tries to redefine herself and her role. Is she still were, is she vampire, or is she both or neither? Unlike Niki, Lara finds an inner strength that is more nuanced, and although her mental anguish is more understandable (she is dead, after all!) she is more likable than Niki. Lara and the sensual cat-were Raina are one of the new parings in [...]

I truly enjoy the Midnight Hunters books - they're more like a serial than a series, though, and that makes it hard to wait for each new installment. Once a year isn't enough!! This newest volume introduces a new character into an already sweeping cast, but this addition - a Were cat Alpha - is a welcome participant. That being said - you really have to have read each one of the Midnight Hunters books in order to pick up and understand this one. The community of Praeterns, the politics and a ver [...]

And the story continues I still find these books thrilling and the new character in this one adds fuel to the fire. I'm rather glad I waited so long to read these books as it would have been torture to wait a year or more for the next book. As it is, I can't wait to read the next one.

I really, really enjoy this series and the previous books. This time, however was just bland for me. I think it's because it's the same couple repeating itself over and over again. Sure it's mixed up. Cat/wolf, vampire/human etc etc but, the personalities of the couples are all the same and the way the relationship develops and the outcome is always the same. Like it's always the "I can't help myself", irresistible pull but the no, no, no we can't, then inevitably of course, the couple ends up t [...]

I love this series, and this newest installment has so much going on that I need to read it again immediately because I'm sure I missed some things. I love the new couple introduced, Lara and her unexpected lover. This new character, a were cat, is delicious. I also love the overall upheaval that Sylvan experiences as she sees her pack become more diverse and the world change around her. That's tough for an alpha who needs to feel in control of everything. As usual, Raand leaves you wanting more [...]

The Lone Hunt is the fourth in L.L. Raand's Midnight Hunters series and is the best yet. Given that I have awarded five out of five stars to the previous books, that's an impressive feat. The story itself picks up just hours after the explosive finale of the preceding Night Hunt as the forces arrayed against Sylvan Mir and her Timberwolf pack seem to act with impunity whilst she tries to pursue acceptance for the praeterns through due process. After events in previous books, Lara is struggling to [...]

Number four in the series This one doesn't disappoint. It's full of primal urges, and our baser instincts. It takes us on a journey to a primal level, and leaves the question. Of the creatures, and humans portrayed, which are more human? I for one, found the creatures to be more human Loved the story, and got lost in it too. Oh, and it leaves you hungry for more (you can take that how you please). Have I said I hate sequels When's the next one due out?

I still can't quite get used to the idea of the books running straight on from one another so it takes a little time to adjust. It felt a little samey, the whole character meets other characters falls for said character stupidly quick. The end was a good twist and did keep me on the edge of my seat.

  • L.T. Marie

Another action packed Rad book full of awesome sex scenes and memorable characters. You all gotta read this one!

Entranced by the writing and storyline.

Last weekend I received a copy of “The Lone Hunt,” written by L.L. Raand, to read before it’s release. I am honored to have this opportunity. I have enjoyed reading every book in the Midnight Hunters series and am very excited to read the fourth installment, “The Lone Hunt”. It took me less than a weekend to read through this new book! I couldn’t put it down! Now, with that said, let me share some of what I experienced whilst reading this book.I love Raand’s wolf Weres and their wo [...]

You come to expect certain things from favorite authors and Radclyffe writing as L.L. Raand is no different. I expect to get a lot of action in and out of the bedroom, a fast paced story, and a new twist to the supernatural craze. Those were my expectations when I picked up The Lone Hunt, the fourth in the Midnight Hunt Series. What I didn't expect was when you look deeper at the actual plot that ties each of these stories together. It is really intricate and the more I think about it, the more [...]

There's so much going on in this installment. We have a newly founded Vamp whore that I hope a Vamp ends up sucking her dry or she ends up insane from Vamp withdrawal and put to death. Either would suffice lol. The world continues to shift and change for Sylvan and her Pack. She is changing with it, but reluctantly so. There's a lot of action and fighting in this installment. More allies are found, but will they prove true? Rad introduces yet another new relationship into the mix and strengthens [...]

I really enjoyed Raina's introduction to this cast of characters and the addition of not two but four kiddos to the pack. The books flow right from one to the other. I read Book 3 sixteen months ago so it took me a little while to remember who was who. If your memory sucks like mine, go back and take a peek at book three before you jump into this one.

after book 4, the redundancy and repetitive writing still leaves the story incomplete. I'm definitely not going to get book 5 to see if she redeems herself as a writer, and finishes the little plot there is. i'm convinced people love the author because she was putting out books in this genre before there was anything else. Now, there are far better books to chose from.

  • Raven

Much, much better story this time. This is the kind of writing I was expecting in book two and three, glad to see the groove is back. Gotta day I really loved the Lara and Raina pairing, love how they respond to each other and their whole relationship is just awesome. I'm also curious to see where the Michel and Katya's relationship might go.

  • Musa

Loved this series, so bought the latest book. The addition of the new characters is good, love the character, but this is boarding to a point there are starting to have too many story arc in the book. Can't wait to see if there's more to happen between Michel and Katya, better if the next book contains them as the main story arc!

  • B. Hale

The conclusion shouldn't take more than six books! Starting to grate my nerves, too much is happening and then it ends so stupidly, ugh.

  • Michelle

    As usualcredible!

  • Rebecca

As alway Raand (Radclyfee) has produced a winner. Of course the ending left me wanting the next (hopefully there will be).
