    I have this title on an interlibrary loan, so it surpasses all other reading. It promises to simultaneously bore the reader with its pedantic prose & bolster her cred for presentations on the Independent Project the fall. Who knows? Perhaps it will scintillate & enlighten. More later.

    Required reading for a class called "Motivating 21st Century Learners," this book was heavy (and the chapters were WAY too long) but loaded with important and helpful information about how to teach AND motivate. I have found myself applying what I've learned in this book in my lessons and lesson-planning without even being forced to do so as an assignment. It's an excellent resource for teachers of all content areas, but it is not a joy to read (sorry). I am very fond of all 3 authors, Ruth Smal [...]
