This series usually is nice and fun and I enjoy it. (view spoiler)[ What I completely disliked though is a comment I read halfway through the book. The mates have bought a gay romance and there is the term "hermaphrodite". They don't know the meaning, look it on the internet and all say things like disgusting and such. This to me was awful. An hermaphrodite is different. Not disgusting. (hide spoiler)]

This was book 4 in the "Brac Pack" series. I wanted to read about this couple after I was introduced to them in another series by this author. Drew was a hardworking, straight-A student until the night his ex-boyfriend found out that he had fangs. Drew is part human part wolf this led him to abusing drugs. Remi has been staking out the mall looking for his mate he finds Drew after he scored some drugs the author never said what drug but I think it was heroin by how sick he was. When he takes his [...]

What I like so much about this series is that each book tackles a major issue. So far we have dealt with domestic abuse, prostitution, child molestation and now drug abuse. These are not light topics but the author does a good job respecting the issue at hand, making the character grow and overcome these demons but at the same adding humor in different ways that lightens the read so I don't get dragged down. The characters aren't magically cured by the end of the book. We see them in the followi [...]

This series is addictive to me, I don't know why, I don't really like the books all that much, but I just can't help myself. This one dealt with addiction and all the other couples were in it too! I had a few issues like about Drew's parents? where are they, especially considering what his dad is ! And what is with this Jackson guy? it's getting old! Other than that a typical fair! (view spoiler)[ except for finally having one of the big bad wolves bottoming! :) (hide spoiler)]

I liked this book in the Brac Pack series but definitely not as much as the first three. Reason number one: Remi lost the sense of humour that defined him in previous books. Yes, the situation with his mate was serious, but his sense of humour was completely gone, so it didn't seem like Remi at all. Reason number two: I didn't like the reason Remi gave in to being topped. He didn't really have a choice, since he did it because Drew was so horny as a result of a drug he'd taken, he was in pain, w [...]

4th read 1-2-16This time around I was kind of annoyed at the whole Drew's addiction thing and how everything is a trigger for him. That's not how it works. I could see not going to the mall, because thats where he scored but come on. As a recovering addict this was seriously over the top. Relapses happen for any reason, not just because they see a black box or get a tattoo.3rd read 1-2-15I really liked Remi and Drew, but for the life of me I can't figure out why the mates put up with the whole " [...]

What I didn't like was the comments about hermaphrodites. I mean, it's in a MM book, you think the author would understand the need for understanding about things that are different. Hermaphrodites don't ask to be that way, it's genetics, much like how they're werewolves. Some understanding would have been nice, especially from Maverick, the Alpha. He should have set the tone and been like, "Well, pups, they're different, but like us, they were born that way. Don't fear what's different." -- or [...]

typical lynn hagen serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical lynn hagen? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but yeah.). out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :lynn hagenstormy glennscarlett hyacinthcarol lynnegabrielle evansunless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books [...]

The Mates are so cute together and really make the stories enjoyable.Johnny, Cecil, Blair and Drew have some of the best lines. You can not help but laugh out loud. Just what these shifters need in their lives to liven thing up. And what I like best is that we get to see them again in each bk so far, hope we continue to see them with the new characters each week.

The review for this series will be identical for each book. Fated mates, hurt/comfort, shifters, sexy men and scorching hot heat.

2011 Review:’Kay, so I read book 4-6 in the series and have come to the conclusion that these are better read all in a row. It’s really much more like one continuous story that just highlights different people at times. If you keep in mind my caveat about the lack of continuity it’s actually not so bad to read. Well, and you have to lower your expectations and completely throw disbelief out of the window.Sure, lots of stuff is stupid and the pattern is repetitive but eh. What annoys me mos [...]

Howl if you love wolves – especially those of the Brac Pack! REMI'S PUP, the fourth installment in Lynn Hagen's Brac Pack, is a great addition to the series. I cannot stress enough that to really appreciate this series these books need to be read in order due to a tremendous amount of crossover in both the timeline and story arc.Remi searches for his mate. His only clue: a vague description and a lingering smell on Hawk's shirt. When Remi finally spots him, Drew has just purchased drugs from h [...]

Remi’s Pup is a nice addition to the Brac Pack series by Lynn Hagen; the main difference between this last chapter and the previous stories is that Remi is not a “full” Alpha male. Already in the previous books we had the chance to see that Remi is more “relaxed”; don’t get me wrong, he is strong, and bid, and bad as much as his fellow shapeshifter warriors, but he has a more laissez-faire attitude towards the world, something that will become clear when he will accept to bottom for [...]

  • Judy & Marianne from Long and Short Reviews

Once again Ms. Hagen has put together a touching story about human sadness, weakness, and struggles. In Remi’s Pup she writes of drug addiction and its effects on a young Drew. After reading the blurb I knew this was a story I had to read. Remi discovers he has a mate when he smells his mate's scent on another werewolf in his pack. His excitement dwindles when he finds out his mate is a drug addict. I admired Remi’s determination when it came to protecting his mate from himself. These big st [...]

Jokester warrior wolf needs to save his drug-addled true/insta-mateIn many ways, this book is a somewhat repetitive entry in the series about very large/tough/strong Dominant werewolves and their abused/injured/damaged, younger (teen/new adult), immature and troubled human mates. Now, on the one hand it follows a typical "Gay Daddy" or strong top/yielding bottom (older, bigger, stronger dominant with a younger and smaller submissive) vibe. On the one hand, that can be a nice pairing, and making [...]

This was another book of the Brac Pack series I liked. Tackling the issue of drug abuse isn't easy, and this story contained some good insights into some of the consequences of the addiction, while focusing on the withdrawal process. An interesting additional point was the perspective of a loving partner and what they have to go through. Drew isn't a guy with a lot of backbone, or determination, when this story starts. He's never had a really difficult time, is a good student - and is tempted by [...]

Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each):Brac PackChristian's CovenZeus's PackDemon WarriorsThe ExiledThese are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying [...]

The Brac Pack series is expertly written, and each story can be read separately. Remi’s Pup is an outstanding chapter in a wolf saga and offers a very different story with the mate of a shifter being an addict. Lynn Hagen delicately addressed the ravages of addiction and withdrawal which afforded the reader a true peak into a touchy subject from the loved ones point of view. I would suggest if you want the full effect of a truly outstanding series then make Remi’s Pup the first in a long lin [...]

This one was hard to read in places just because Drew's journey was so hard. I liked that the cold turkey was not sanitised although I will not look at a hoover quite the same again.I have to say I am not sure if there are as many 'no way' moments in this series now or if I am just not noticing them because they are my guilty pleasure and I would forgive them almost anything up to and including introducing a whole new pack I will have to buy the book for!!

I didn’t like this as much as the lighter books in the series. While I appreciate the serious issues, sometimes the juxtaposition of the alpha into “daddy” is too much for me. This is one of those books that I didn’t care for as much.I also missed “fun Remi” and was really bummed that Jasper found a new mate ☹AudioJohnny East does his typical good job – there are a million characters and he tries so hard!3 of 5 stars

This four book was really good and I liked it. The characters did grown on me and it was really enjoyable read. Drew and Remi were great together, their story is totally awesome. But then all The plots from all book till now were connected and this made pack more real and alive. Highly recommended series till now.

This one had its ups and its downs. Overall it wasn't a bad read but there are some moments that definitely raised my eyebrows and give a judgmental side eye. I did like the relationship between Drew and Remi and Drew grows enough during the course of the book that you find yourself rooting for him and wanting him to overcome his issues.

3 starsIf every book involves the mates "running away" to do something funI just may stab myself in the eye. First time it's kinda funny/cute. Second and third? Mmmmmnope. But for all 20 some books? I can't deal with it.

I really like this series of books by Lynn Hagen, this is the 4rth in the series and I want to read the 5th one now. Very realistic writing with Drew, I like how she ended the story with him and won't to say to much more on that.

  • Christy

These keep getting better each new book in the series. I really liked reading about Drew. He seemed so real to me and his struggle with addiction is one many people face. Remi was wonderful, sexy and sweet.A good overall story for these types of books.

  • Rita

It was kinda hard to follow the main story because there were so many other stories in this book Sometimes I got confused as to who did what and who was who, so that's the thing that kinda irked me, but still, a good light read

  • Randy Wiggins

The series movies on and is still great. Proof reading still not so much. Too many errors can be a bit of a distraction but I don't hold that against the author. The story in each book is very moving and makes you feel a closeness to the charachters. The steamy sex is great too.

  • Marsha Spence

I'm really enjoying this series. I like that we get to keep up with the previous couples as well. Loved Remi and Drew!4/2015 reread of entire Brac Pack, Zeus's Pack, Demon Warriors series. Up thru BP19, ZP22, DW 1

  • Andre

It was nice to see a warrior man enough to take it up the ass and knowing that it doesn't emasculate him and it seems to be rather about pleasure without that power struggle flair. Nonetheless the relationship between the two sounds seems more like mentor and pupil, then lovers.
