SO much has happened and I don't even know what to say. ON TO THE FINAL VOLUME!

  • Nərmin

Reading manga while listening the soundtracks of anime is a magnificent experience. I don't what it to endThis manga is so beautiful that I can't even describe! The story is incredible, characters are perfect, artwork is excellent!Have to know how it is going to end. The last volume remains, but I am not ready to say goodbye

The Father turned has something called godhood. Finally, Scar beat King Bradley with the help of Ran Fan. Well done, Scar. He is a genius. Suddenly, Scar caught my attention. Unfortunately, he did it in the end of the series. Pride is gone too, by Ed.)

  • Amanda Setasha Hall

Talk about a heart wrenching volume. Oh my god. This was really good and the art is great.

  • Rae

Wow. Let me say it again. Wow. My friends recommended that I read this, and I didn't want to for the longest time because I was so busy with school, and then when I finally did start to read it, it took so long to get through a single volume because I got so hung up on the art. Arakawa's drawing style isn't just plain old manga, it's a piece of genius! Every chapter - yes, all 108 of them - showcased beautiful pen and ink technique, and I would just analyze the art for minutes before moving onto [...]

Everything ends, all the struggle, all the tears, all hope gone. But humans are amazing like that, they never give up. When all seemed nigh, the counter attack begins. First Hoheheim with his carefully crafted scheme, then Scar with the reverse transmutation circle. All the remaining Homunculus meet their end. But "Father" keeps on fighting without even flinching. Edward Elric shows his real power against Pride. Now he needs to beat "Father" as well, who consumed the supposedly "God".

I don't want this series to end! I love it so much. ButI want to know what happens! Am I the only one having this problem? -__-

Words really cannot express how much this series means to me. I read the final chapter online, literally, as soon as I could get my hands on it. Which, because people on the internet are amazing and translate them within a few days, was probably at some point in 2010, when I was 18. I am 24 now, and my boyfriend has recently started reading it, which has been sending me on a huge nostalgia trip on how important this manga and show(s) are. Arakawa is an incredible artist, writer, and storyteller. [...]

AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! WAIT!!! You can't leaving me hanging!

  • Feather Mista

¡¡Fuuuuummm!!

It's possible I've just outgrown a series I started eight years ago, but I'm worried that with this being the second-to-last volume, Fullmetal Alchemist will go out with a whimper. Stuff happens. There's a big, epic, kinda confusing battle. It's drawn really well. But the problem that's plagued this book for a few volumes now is this: Ed and Al don't do anything. It's a little better here, and in the last third of the story, Ed does get to do something you would expect the main character to do. [...]

Here we are with the penultimate volume of this series. Everything is coming to a head, the build up of years of storytelling coming together at last, and the execution of it all is fantastic. Fullmetal Alchemist has become the standard that I measure great shounen by: well developed characters, an interesting (and at times quite intricate) plot, solid artwork, the perfect balance between action and emotion. Yes, this series makes me cry in the end. Final volume in December!

  • Yvensong

This volume covers the final battle, and what a battle it is! The father of all Hormunculi is not holding back on his attacks on all of our heroes. So much pain and loss amidst the breakneck action.

  • Alice MacDonnell

    10/10 stars.

  • Justyn Rampa

Among the many lessons I'm learning from Hiromu Arakawa, this volume demonstrates how important it is to take you reader gradually on the journey and explain things to them as you go so that when your story takes a turn for the cosmically weird, your reader isn't left behind. It is also rewarding for the reader to make it to that point because if you just read this volume without the preceding ones, you would be completely lost. However, if you did read everything a bunch of crazy shit can happe [...]

  • TheGracefulReader

THE GOOD Scar vs Wrath; This was crazy! And scar totally kicked Wrath's ass. I may not like either of them much, but I definitely prefer scar.Lan Fan: She was a good person till the end.Pride vs Edward; Ahh, it was nice to see this brat get a beat down. THE BAD Dwarf/Father: Man, can you not be invincible for just one second?

  • Belinda

Complex and powerful graphic art which depicts the horror of an egomaniacal homunculus whose plans involve many deaths in the pursuit of immortality.Fast paced, lots of action.Nearly at the end, excitement and weeping.

  • Rolando Marono

We are almost at the end. I like to see the final purpose of the Father. The battle between him and Hoenheim was great. Also we can see Hoenheim's plot. It was good, no excellent but it was entertaining. This volume was almost pure fights.

  • Ben Nealis

Everything I said about the last volume and more! I cant wait to read the last volume although it makes me sad that its ending, I intend on buying the box set.

  • Paulina Wiatr

It’s only getting g better and better - I cannot imagine saying goodbye to all those characters in few chapters. By the end I love all of them - even Scar

  • Crystal Barron

The second to the last volume in the series, the battle continues against Father and the alchemist working together to save the country of Amestris. Still loving this series!

  • Pinkerton

Sarà pure un cliché però, con un cattivone che ha il potere di un Dio, è bello trovare la forza e la speranza per contrastarlo nei sentimenti umani :)

  • Dbgirl

After some disappointing volumes, this became interesting again. Have no idea what's going on but it looks great!

  • Jay

The second to last book I wonder what will happen!?

I just reviewed this on my blog.To view the full review and other reviews, click here Fullmetal Alchemist Volume 26 by Hiromu Arakawa I love this anime (the Brotherhood one) and manga so much! I can't believe that there's only one volume left, I really want to know what happens next but I also don't want this series to end, it's so good!.Gore: Yes, kind of, it's hard for me to be too sure: there is a lot of blood, dead bodies, and the thing that happens at the end.Magic: Yes (the alchemy they us [...]

I can't write this now. I have read the last one. There are still questions to be answered, and the story isn't complete.

  • Cole Power

An absolutely great series. This manga series has some of the greatest characters of any other manga I have read. The journey that these brothers go on is one of my favorites of all time.

  • S.Q. Eries

Things aren’t looking good for our heroes at the opening of the volume. Despite desperate fighting from Team Elrich, the former Dwarf in the Flask has everything and everyone where he wants it. Interestingly, the Dwarf, who’s been rather impassive for the most part, gets caught up in his moment of triumph and takes on a maniacal glee, which is made even creepier by his multi-eyeball form. The Dwarf’s creepiness, however, is quickly outmatched by the creepiness that sweeps over Amestris once [...]

I love all the human sacrifices! they all have wonderfully tragic tales! I didn't, on the other hand, love all the action and fighting that was going on. I know it was all vital and what not but I don't do well with constant action sequences in picture format with sound effects all the time. but I still loved this volume, it was so fun and interesting to read and follow along as the master plan was finally revealed!! what great fun fullmetal alchemist has been, I am sad to see it ending.I Gasped [...]

Obožujem FMA. Pogledala sem anime, prebrala mange in ne morem se ga naveličati. Zgodba je perfektna, o dveh bratih alkimistih, ki prekršita glavno pravilo alkimije in poskusita opraviti človeško transmutacijo. To drago plačata - en s celim telesom in drugi z dvema udoma. In odločita se, da bosta dobila svoji telesi nazaj, kar ju privede do tega, da se priključita državnim alkimistom, v vojaško nastrojeni državi, ki pa ima popolnoma svoje načrte za svoje prebivalstvo V glavnem. Res pr [...]
